“Highly recommended”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

Recommended by our B&B hosts, this place was brilliant - 3 course Sunday lunch for £10. As a fussy eater there was plenty on the menu to choose from. One of the few times we have ever ordered pate and it has arrived with enough bread to actually eat all the pate. If we were staying another day I would have gone back.

It's more of a cafe so expect something pleasant but not too fancy, and you won't be disappointed.

Ate: Pate to start, followed by turkey and beef roast dinners. Wanted pudding but too stuffed to consider it!! (£8 for 2 BIG courses).

“Quilligans”
Reviewed June 1, 2012

Really enjoyed our meal at Quilligan's. Was not aware it was about to close when we went in but staff did not rush us. Excellent service.

“Hard to fault”
Reviewed May 13, 2012

Pleasing décor, friendly helpful efficient staff, great food. The best chips (fries). Real chips, large chunky hand cut. Infinitely better than the the thin, oil saturated fries served in big name fast food chains!
Our first visit was for a beef dinner, very good food, excellent value. Second visit was for tea / coffee and scone with jam. Less than £2 each. Good coffee, tea served in a pot with milk in a jug. Most cafes charge around £4 or more for that kind of service!
Easy to find, to the left of The Winter Gardens on Church Street, not far from the Tower - and well worth a visit, or two!.

“Fabulous food at a great price.”
Reviewed May 3, 2012

One of my favourite places in Blackpool. Firstly it is a cafe not a restaurant so sometimes I really do wonder what people expect. Yes you occasionally have to queue but surely that speaks for itself. No matter what you order it is never disappointing. The jumbo homemade chips are wonderful, the salad bowls are a work of art! If there is something you want to add or leave out they gladly oblige. The food is always hot and freshly made. I love the cold cans served with a frosted glass. Yes they do employ youngsters who can sometimes be a little slow but you only have to ask and they are very pleasant. I still happily recommend here to my friends.

“One of the best cafes in Blackpool”
Reviewed April 17, 2012

Quilligans is definitely one of the best cafes in Blackpool town centre, not only is it in a perfect position at the newly refurbished St Johns Square, but it has something a bit different about it with its film and music memorabilia theme. The food is really really tasty! The chunky chips are huge and obviously homemade. I ordered the special soup and sandwich meal deal last time I went and it wasn't what I expected at all! The soup was a full bowl with a bread roll and the sandwich was a full sandwich plate with salad too... I'm not convinced that they plated it up properly as it seemed like too good a deal but if that was right then that meal deal comes highly recommended!
