Staff were very friendly and food was great and very reasonably priced. This Italian restaurant was in a good location, well decorated and the staff were attentive but not overbearing. The service was great and we didnt have to wait long on either the starters or main courses.

I would strongly advise not to eat here ......Very dissapointing with most aspects of this dining experience. The menu = poor, very basic, and when it is stated that the cannelloni is infact homemade is a worry what else would it be? frozen? supermarket bought? Food Quality = poor, starters were served with basic side salad no taste, no dressing, deep fried brie which im sorry to say was cooked from frozen it was obvious and the chicken livers were so big they had been fed steroids! The veal over cooked, chewy, my chicken dish was dry and chewy with a basic tomato sauce thrown over it which was supposed to be rosemary red wine mushroom creamy sauce accompanied with a lets have an easy life sliced potato with cheese over the top and veg. What if you dont like cheese on your potatoes? there was no choice offered. On a positive note the steak ordered was apparantly cooked to perfection and very nice and the deserts profiteroles, sticky toffee pudding and tiramisu were nice. Service = ok, atmosphere = there wasnt one really. There was no italian authenticity in the menu, food or restaurant itself even though it has been attempted with the grand statues and decor. You can eat in the most basic of restaurants without the fancy gold and wood and pottery and have an amazingly cooked meal that makes you want to go back for more. This eating experience made me want to run a mile especially the next day when two of us who ate different meals have tender tummys ....

If you like Italian food and want to eat in a restaurant that feels a bit special then I can highly recommend Don Antonio (Bispham end of Blackpool - easily reached via tram to Bispham). Service was a little slow to begin with (the lady in charge was very apologetic and explained this was due to being a member of staff short on a very busy night) but, once we were shown to our table, the staff were very attentive and the food was well worth the wait - delicious and very filling! I left the restaurant feeling fat and happy! A wonderful meal in a very stylish setting.

We were staying round the corner, and just happened on this place.

Although we were cutting it fine for the early bird menu, they were happy to let us choose it.

£15 for three courses was excellent value, drinks affordable too. And the food was excellent.

However, it was the staff that made the experience special. Everyone was lovely, and couldn't do enough to help.

Highly recommended
