We stayed at this hotel on 25th August 2012, a group of 7 of us. We booked 4 rooms through late rooms. When we arrived we were greeted by a grumpy woman asking 'have you booked?' - no hello or any pleasantries! We said we had, but she look aggrieved by our presence and kept moaning about a booking system which is causing her problems. But this wasn't our problem! A guy was there when we arrived who I can only assume was her son and he was just as rude. She also kept moaning at the fact we had only booked one night and it should be a min stay of 2 nights. This wasn't our fault though either, the system had let us book one night but she still made us feel in the wrong. It also turned out she still had rooms available, so where was the issue? Our rooms were very shoddy, with things pulled off the wall, dirty drawers, loose fixings, a door that didn’t lock (a small kick and it popped open so we didn’t sleep well at all), TV that didn’t work and overall very rundown. The room wasn't exactly cheap and didn’t reflect the standard you got. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here. It was a bank holiday weekend and it seemed to be the only hotel still with vacancies which says it all!
