“A 'Rose' amongst the thorns.”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Great wee stay at Rosebank Villa for an overnight darts trip. Check in nice and smooth.
Room was clean and tidy and what you'd expect for £30.
Remember to turn on the shower heater switch though! Lol. Some of our group didn't realise and ended up having cold showers. Yowsers!

Only downside to room was tiny window located high up on wall. Kind of reminiscent of the cell I had at Wormwood Scrubs. Bar area was typical Blackpool B&B although at £1 a go, the pool was extortionate. Only 20p back home in the Methil miners club.

Breakfast was nice enough, although a little greasy but, better than Little Chef.

All in all a pretty decent stay that could only be improved by a better door entry system. Having worked for the last 10 years in the security entry industry, I have to say that the swipe card system at The Dukeries round the corner is far superior.

I was looking for a cheap and cheerful place to stay for my party of four after a trip to the Open golf championship and plumped for this hotel because of the past reviews and the fact it had four single rooms available. We arrived just after 8pm and were greeted to a very warm welcome even though we interrupted their little birthday bash. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable, perfect for what we needed. The breakfast is superb, definitely one of the best I've had (and I've had a few!!). Overall an excellent stay just much too short and will certainly be stopping again. Highly recommended.

I have just had the pleasure of a too short a stay at the Rosebank Villa which is right in the heart of Blackpool. There was no fault to find in this hotel, We had a good size family room for the four of us with lots of hot water and towels, perfect for defrosting after a walk on the new promenade. TV to keep the kids quiet before breakfast and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast in the morning is to die for and all at a price I can live with.

The hosts, Helen and Michael welcomed my family like we were old friends, even though we had only spoken once on booking. Helen is always asking if you need or want anything and cannot do enough to make you comfortable. Michael always has time for a joke and a laugh in the bar and gives out good local information on where to eat and drink.

All in all a great stay. A big thumbs up from us, keep up the great work and we will be back very soon x

Me and a friend stopped here for a night and as soon as we seen our rooms we said this has to be one of the best rooms we've ever had when stopping in Blackpool or any other hotel. Can't find any fault with anything other then I would have liked to have stopped for another night. The owners was very friendly and outgoing. £30 seemed very reasonable. The location is great, it's right near everything. We skipped the breakfast as we was leaving early but I'm sure it would have been as good as everything else. There's a car park at the end of the road that is £10 for the night. Will be stopping again and recommending the Rosebank Villa.
