How happy were we when we arrived at the hotel and it was at the quieter end of the promenade, up a little side street. Our room was very tastefully decorated with so many special luxury touches that really illustrated the thought that had gone into the owners passion to go the extra mile for their guests. from fluffy bath robes and slippers, huge bath towels and coffee machine.

The breakfast on both days was excellent. Karen was highly pro active at giving all the information needed for the BLACKPOOL experience depending on your needs.

Both Karen and Simon have a great rapport with people and definately make your stay extra special.

Room Tip: upgrade to the deluxe as the extra is worth it!! ( not that I saw the other rooms, but ours was fab...

We stayed here for two nights and found a warm welcome. The room was beautifully decorated with a large comfy bed and a spacious ensuite with walk in shower. The attention to detail was great, bottled water, emergency kit and bathrobes with slippers. The public areas and rooms were spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was home cooked to order and tasted fantastic. We would definately stay at The Waterford again if we were in Blackpool.

This was my second time staying at the Waterford - the first was two years ago when I was blown away by the quality of the room, decor, furnishings and Simon's divine cooked breakfasts. I really didn't think Simon and Karen could top my last experience - how wrong was I?! This time I stayed from 3-6 January and couldn't believe my room! I was in a newly refurbished double deluxe with a sea view which was kitted out beautifully - complete with chaise lounge, massive bed, flat screen tv and gorgeous lighting. But the bathroom (complete with a huge walk-in shower) was the icing on the cake! It was massive and luxurious - with plush towels, bath robes and slippers (and a gorgeous illuminated make-up mirror!) I've recently embraced veganism and Karen and Simon couldn't have done more to accommodate me - thank you so much. I'll definitely be returning!

My wife booked the Waterford on the good reviews from others
I have to say my memories of Blackpool B&Bs was not good and I was a bit worried.
However when we arrive I was amazed with the Waterford ,the décor in the public area
and breakfast is excellent and the room was lovely with a clean and modern feel
The owners were very nice ,breakfast very good (with a veggie option ) .couldn't really ask
for anything better in a B&B . If I had to chose between this and a hotel such as the premier inn
etc I would chose the Waterford every time

Room Tip: Im sure all rooms will be good

Let's have a short breakaway He said.....to Blackpool.... B&B He said... I thought mmmmm :( How wrong I was to be disappointed...we stayed at The Waterford and were welcomed as though we had been friends for years. After lots of chat and laughs Karen explained where the lounge/dining rooms were and then showed us to our room. The stairs are narrow and winding but that is the property. Beautiful large room, well decorated, large comfortable bed, flat screen tv and two chairs to watch it from...usually there is only 1 chair in B&B's/hotels...and the other person is expected to sit on the bed. The bottle of filtered water was a nice touch as was the choice of good quality biscuits. The bathroom was large and very clean with huge soft towels, bathrobes and slippers and an enormous shower. The breakfast room was lovely, again well decorated and immaculately clean, comprehensive breakfast menu, well cooked and presented. The entire property is a showcase for wall art and objects d'art. The sea view patio area was spacious with lots of seating and in the warm weather would be a great to watch the world go by. The exterior of the Waterford is a little tired but awaiting a winter makeover. We would happily return time and time again, thankyou Karen and Simon for the valuable lesson I learned...not to prejudge Blackpool B$B's xxx

Room Tip: I have no doubt that all the rooms are of equal quality.
