“Great stay!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

My boyfriend and I booked a room here for 2 nights and can't fault it anywhere. We had transport difficulties and they couldn't have been more understanding. Room and breakfast were lovely very friendly family... People say they're ' rude' because they dont speak much at breakfast but would you have time to have conversations with each guest as well as cook all the food in a 45 minute slot?! Probably not! Still said good morning to us which is more than some places! Very welcoming and great value for money would definatly stay again many thanks

I stayed here with my partner we had the four poster bed room. We found it was spotless but the room was rather small. Was in a great location hidden away but still very close . Great breakfast not much conversation out of the hosts but still had an enjoyable stay.

i stayed here with a female friend on a mini weekend to see the ice skating, visit the pleasure beach, have a few bevvies and chill on the beach.

We had a twin room which had one double and one single, with ample space for our stuff (being women we had a lot!). It was tastfully decorated with tea, coffee, hot chocs and a kettle. It was £45 per night at the time we came which I think is very reaosnable for what you get.

There is a walk of 10 - 15 mins involved to the pleasure beach, and a little more to the decent party of the Golden Mile, but as young uns thats not an issue.

Nicely tucked out of the way for quietness after a night out too, so getting sleep wasn't hard.

Muy only complaint was the owner didn't really talk to us or interact wiht us, and breakfast was ordered via tickboxes on a sheet, but I guess in Blackpool this is probably normal what with stag, hens, group parties etc.

Breakfast was lovely too AND there is a bar on site :D

As a large family of nine, 2 adults 5 kids and babys we were struggling to get a reasonably priced, value for money friendly place to stay for a few days whilst exploring blackpool, we found moorbank house ! On arrival we was able to park on forcourt with minbus to be met by the proprietor whome was friendly enough, he and his wife had pre sorted us rooms 10 and 11 on the ground floor which was ideal, they jad very kindly erected a travel cot for the babys in the bigest room which comfortabley slept 5 plus the travel cot for babys, the room next door slept two. Once the minibus was unloaded I was shown to the private parking area around the back of the property, bonus!. The rrooms and indeed the rest of the property were immaculate, tea and coffee well stocked, tv and lush decor.Beds very comfortable, the large barhroom in room 11 dwarfed that of room 10 which really was just a toilet and seperate shower but still a very good use of space and no complaints, room 11 was slightly chilly but this wasnt an issue at all for us as it was comfortable. Breakfast, what can I say! Very nice cooked breakfast indeed and plenty of it, cereals, fruit, yogurts, orange juice, pots of tea and coffee as you wish included...This was a first in a b&b for us all as normally a static caravan is the only thing that will accommodate us all and we didnt want to leave, so much so we are rebooking very soon for june... well dome moorebank house, true honest value for money..

As a family of 7 adults 5 children we stayed at Moorbank House for varying lengths of time from 2 nights to 4 nights. I found this very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent and have a good range of choice, they are also served very promptly. There is a very good supply of tea and coffee etc. left in the room. As a disabled visitor I was given a downstairs room with only a couple of small steps for access. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a B & B close to the South pier, and a short walk into the centre of the town. The availability of parking was an added bonus for me.

Went away for weekend as a group of 7! We had 4 bedrooms and each were great. Myself and my boyfriend were in room 4 which consisted of a two beds which were comfortable and very clean, there was even tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer which i was happy with as i forgot mine. There was an Iron available in the corridor with a small Ironing board to take to your room which came in handy.
The owners were lovely and very accomodating keeping the bar open on the Friday night for us to wait for our friend arriving later than expected, they couldn't do enough for us even calling us taxi's and taking group pictures for us.
Breakfast was lovely and very filling i particularly enjoyed it as it wasn't full of grease like some english breakfasts.
Would definetly return to this hotel.
Thanks fora great weekend

Room Tip: Rooms 3 and 4 seemed the largest out of the 4 our group had!

We arrived around tea time, and we were greeted by the owner who showed us to our room, and told us the basics and to fill in our breakfast forms. Once we were organised we were shown where to park the car. We stayed 2 nights in the family room, which had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. It was tastfully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and certainly plenty of it. I am hopefully going to go back again towards the end of the year. My only complaint is that the milk in the rooms was full fat (I have a milk intolerance) but the owner very kindly gave us a jug of semi skimmed milk. All in all a perfect family hotel and very good value for money. I thoroughly recommend Moorbank :-)
