Stayed for one night on 29th July. We arrived earlier than check-in but were able to park on the front of the property, a big bonus! Our room was great! We have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and we stayed in room 9A which is like a mini-flat! It has an en-suite shower/toilet and separate bedrooms! One with a double bed and one with bunk-beds. Both rooms had storage for clothing etc and each room had its own TV...not a necessity I know, although very useful when you have young children that only want to watch CBeebies and CITV etc! Tea/coffee making facilities in room and also hairdryer provided. Very clean throughout and alo very friendly without feeing too intrusive. Ken welcomed us into the hotel and showed us to our room. He was very friendly, knowledgable and professional, as were Kathy and I pressume their daughter who served us our breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic. Home cooked food, as much cereal/toast/yogurts/orange juice/tea/coffee/milk as you like. Situated a very short walk to the Pleasure Beach and the South Pier. Tram stops obviously on the seafront if you want to go up towards to Tower end of Blackpool which we did but as it was a pleasant day we walked. Lots of work has happened on the seafront, looks loads better than it did a few years ago when I last visited Blackpool. All in all, excellent value accomodation in a good, quiet area, family friendly and great food. Don't really know what more you could want from a B&B!

We stayed here for our first family holiday and had the best time!
We arrived much earlier than we had expected but Ken told us to park up and he would have our room ready soon, which gave us time to explore.
Once we went back a little while later, Kathy showed us to our room and went through all the breakfast forms with us and was very helpful. She is also great with kids and had our 3 laughing :D

Breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it. The whole place was clean, tidy and welcoming.

Our room was lovely, like a little apartment. and the children loved having their own TV in their room.

In the lounge there was lots of leaflets about what is on near by and also a like bowl full of discount vouchers for sea life centre, ripleys etc.

It's in an excellent location. Roughly 5 min walk to the pleasure beach, 3 min walk to south pier, McDonald's and a tram stop.

All in all this is an excellent place to stay while at Blackpool.
I will definitely be returning and have already rexommended it to friends who are planning a visit to Blackpool.

Having not holidayed in Blackpool for over ten years I was expecting Chintzy and threadbare carpets but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel had a modern feeling and looked like it had recently been decorated with modern furnishings and a new bathroom. The family room was quite small but it is one of only a few hotels in Blackpool that offer rooms for 3 children (something Premier Inn and Travelodge lack!). Prices were reasonable even during bank holidays and the location although not very central was close to the seafront and Pleasure Beach. Breakfast was good and the rooms cleaned daily. Would recomend and stay again!

Myself and my family stayed the the moorbank house hotel for a long weekend and had a lovely time. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed even if a little on the small side.

The main downside was the lack of blinds in the rooms, the curtains were so thin they MIT as well not have been there.

Breakfast was lovely and very quick and Kathy was very nice and helpful.

The parking wasn't brilliant but being that close to the town centre I can appreciate it must be limited anyway.

All in all a fab stay.

Room Tip: Request parking at front of property as this is much easier to get to.

Me and my Fiancée came to this B&B after reading a few reviews and comparing prices to other B&B's in the area.

We arrived and greeted on the door in a friendly manor and were allowed to place our luggage in our room before sorting out payment and other details.

On 1st impressions, the B&B is very nicely laid out, clean and the entire B&B seems to have been recently refurbished.

We stayed in room 9 which has a single bed and a double bed, flat screen TV, shower room with fresh towels and body wash/shampoo, W/C with sink and shaver plugs (soap, flannel, hand towels and toilet roll), a kettle with tea and coffee, a wardrobe with 2 pullout drawers, 1 chair (in front of a mirror for getting ready) a hair dryer, bed side lights and bed side tables and at least 6 plug sockets.

The room was spotless and and felt "homely", the bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had fantastic sleep although we were woke by the seagulls on the 1st night as I left the window open.

I was surprised how quiet the rooms were even though the B&B was fully booked. (not sure if it was due to well behaved guests or well insulated walls)

The only couple of things I thought could have been better is,

The water pressure in the shower was very low but usable. I also overheard one of the other guests commenting on the same problem with the showers.

The other thing (perhaps its just me been greedy) but I thought the English breakfast was a little on the small side and it was a shame there was no option for black pudding BUT it was served within a few minutes of taking your seat and always piping hot and very tasty.

We would stay here again in a heart beat, I just hope they can get the water pressure problem sorted.

Summery:

Situated just out of the way of all the noise of the nightclubs and crowds, Moorbank House is homely with fantastic hosts and a great breakfast.
If your wanting to stay somewhere quiet but also close to all the action, this is the place for you!

the rooms were so very clean and comfortable - the beds sooo comfy and the pillows were the most comfy gorgeous pillows I had ever come across - rooms were modern and clean and the breakfast room was modern, v clean and pleasant. Breakfast very very nicely cooked and you could ask for more toast. I definitely would go there again - If I was being really really picky I would say the rooms could do with blackout blinds or curtains plus the breakfast time range could do with being extended to say 10am. I think Kathy and Ken are doing a sterling job, they were very friendly and nice people plus the bar is extremely reasonably priced - excellent!!!
