We booked this hotel for a weekend break with our two small children. We read the reviews which are primarily very good and portray this as a clean, modern hotel. However, we were very disappointed. The room was small, dingy and very much in need of an update. The carpet was grotty and extended all the way into the ensuite bathroom which was also very small and cramped. The drawer in the bedside cabinet had an old sticky stain/substance in it which obviously had not been cleaned. Needless to say none of our clothes went in their. Overall this is a poor quality, dated B&B that pretends to be something that it's not and that's why I feel strongly enough to write this review. As a family we have no problem with basic accommodation, but the hotel's promotional website, literature and reviews do not present a true and honest picture of this hotel.

The hotel's only plus points were the bedding and towels were clean, the room wasn't. The breakfast was also nice, however, there was no menu and the dining room table was very small and cramped for a family of four eating breakfast. The hotel is dark and dingy and full of out-of-date tat, for example a vase of plastic flowers in the middle of an already cramped and over-flowing breakfast table!

This review may sound harsh, but sadly it's honest.

Room Tip: Sadly no tips, our room number 4 was awful.

Went to blackpool for a family weekend and was given a very friendly welcome by john and Donna, very family friendly hotel and room were also great. kids had great time playing on the video games in the bar and also the pool table and john also had a brilliant knowledge of what is on in blackpool and what are the best places to visit and take the children to. children are already asking when they will be going back and we will most definately be staying again in the future.
