Visit this lively restaurant with friends,we sat in the bar area for pre dinner drinks. We were shown to our table,we decided on the £ 11,95 for two courses, which was excellent value for money. We decide to have dessert and coffee, which were equally delicious, the staff were very busy but nothing was to much trouble for them. We shall definitely be visiting Nunzios again .

We went out for a Saturday night out with girls to Blackpool town. We were reccomended to try Nunzio's by our taxi driver so we thought we'd give it a try.
on arrival we noticed it was full to capacity and people were waiting in the bar for tables. we were assured we would be seated as soon as tables were available taking into account pre bookings.

we waited approximatly 30 mins for our table and were given a tab at the bar while we waited. we arrived at our table and recieved our starters almost straight away, the.service was good taking into account how busy they were and how low the prices were. some people were alittle put off by the waiting times but what else canbe expected in any towncentre resturant as popular as this one seemed to be.

The mains came in good time, again the place was heaving and we really couldn't find fault with any of our mains. I had cannelloni which was lovely the pepper sauce on my friends chicken was to die for and, the fresh pasta dishes looked fab. The food at Nunzio's was hearty , fresh and very tasty. I only wish we had a place like this back home. We left satisfied. With out spending a lot compared to previous experiences, in other restaurants . Great food great value.

I was with 4 friends who visited Nunzio's for the first time last Friday evening - and unfortunately do not intend to return. The special offer of £11.95 for 2 courses was reasonable value for money - the starters and main courses were fine. However when we sat down in the waiting area the barmaid shouted across to us to ask what we wanted to drink - which was probably a good 10 feet away. One of our party eventually went to the bar and ordered bottles of wine - and was not asked which wine we wanted. We sat down at tables covered with very cheap-looking and obviously pre-used paper tablecloths. Although our table was for five it was only set for four and we had to ask for the cutlery and serviettes. After we had finished our 2 courses and the table was cleared we were not asked if we wanted desserts and/or coffee, despite the fact that the restaurant was probably half empty. Eventually after about half an hour a waiter came over and asked us if we wanted desserts - which by then was too late which we explained and the waiter listened briefly and then walked away, despite the fact we hadn't finished our conversation about the service. We were finishing our wine - the red and rose were fine but the white was tasteless - and after a while the waiter asked if we wanted limoncellos and then sambucas which some of us had. Our party visit different restaurants every other Friday night and this is the first time in many years we have never left a tip. It is a shame that the disappointing service let down the food which was absolutely fine for the money.

When entering the venue - half the tables were empty - one is told to sit in the 'bar area', an atmosphere-less area with uncomfortable seating and have a drink. After some time we asked when will be seated and was taken to a table close to the kitchen.

We were waited on within a minute - with no time to look at the menu. We ask the waiter (who spoke with a exaggerated Italian accent when with customers, but less flamboyant when speaking to other staff) to have us a few minutes to decide. After some wait, we had to beckoned the waiter over, and he took our order. He was ' fantestico-ing' to everything. Very odd and bizarre.

The food was pleasant and well presented, and value for money.

By this time, the venue was becoming busy. Once the main course was done , we ordered some coffee. The waiter asked if we would have it in the waiting area so that they can give the table to waiting punters. We were not very keen, but agreed as long as we could at least finish our wine and have a quiet seating area in the overcrowded, uncomfortable waiting area.

The next moment the waiter and two punters were standing at our table. Still with half a glass of wine. The waiter indicated to some seats, at a shared table, on opposite sides, with a group of strangers. We would not even have sat together - not the way how we wanted to end a romantic week!

Not sure how honest the establishment is, as I have seen how a glass bottle of Coke was returned to the bar (I could not hear the reason). A new bottle was opened, and the top of the second bottle was reshaped by the waiter with this bottle opener, and replaced on the returned bottle. We could
wondered how much returned/left overs are dished up again after seeing this.

I have never had such poor service in a restaurant before.

If a venue want to give its customers the 'Italian experience' then do not rush them. Any no dramatic accent is required.

There are 2 other great, authentic Italian restaurants less than 3 minutes from this venue.
