Stayed here for two nights in the garden suite. The room is wonderful, your own private space with full access to the garden. The best bit is the wonderful breakfast in your own conservatory. The breakfast was amazing, really fresh and all to order. My other half really enjoyed the homemade marmalade!
The location is perfect, not too far a walk to either Bowness or Windermere.
We did a few of the walks out of the walk guide which is personalised from and back to the guest house.
The homemade cake left in the room was delicious and a wonderful touch.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very roomy, which you don't usually get in a B&B!
Vicky and Steve were very friendly and helpful and the whole experiene of staying in the garden suite was just brilliant.
Thankyou for a wonderful stay and next time we come back to Windermere we will be once again booking the garden suite!!

Received a really warm welcome from the owners, stayed in a garden suite which was very comfortable. The best thing about this place is the breakfast freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. We'll be back.

Quick overview:
- Owners very welcoming and helpful!
- Breakfast delicious!
- Location to Bowness perfect - short walking distance.
- Guide book with special walks leading/from the guest house doorstep.
- Standard of cleanliness and repair excellent throughout guest house.
- Quality of service and accomodation has not dropped within the 1.5 years experience we've had with Invergarry.

This July 2011 trip was our fourth stay at Invergarry Guest House. My husband and I have entrusted the very welcoming and cosy owners Steve and Victoria with our most important celebrations of the past year and a half. Our first stay was April 2010 for our 10th anniversary, then my husband's birthday in October 2010, a spur of the moment jaunt up to Bowness/Windermere for our 11th anniversary and finally my 31st birthday this July.

I can confidently say that the standards of service have never wavered in all that time.

Breakfast is delicious every morning. (Do try the sausages!)

The room (we're partial to room 3 as it's up top and has a lovely window to let the light stream in) is immaculate and very comfortable. Bathroom just refurbed and again light, bright and plesant. Coffee, tea etc, lovely biscuits and you'll find homemade cake in your room every evening - an absolutely wonderful way to round off a day of Lake District walking with a coffee and cake.

They have their own walking guides published for Invergarry that take you on fantastic local circular walks right from and back to the doorstep of the guest house. A good range of difficulties and lengths, there is a walk to suit everyone in the book - and don't be afraid to ask for suggestions, Steve and Victoria are both so helpful!

The location of Invergarry is perfect. Being inbetween Windermere and Bowness is a definite plus. A short walk to Bowness and the waterfront, a slightly longer walk to Windermere but still very manageable. There is a bus stop just outside the front door and another stop one minute's walk to the end of the road that can get you to Grasmere, Ambleside and a number of other gorgeous places in the Lake District.

Overall, a highly recommended place to stay. We're already looking forward to when we can get away next!

I had a great stay in the Lake District made even more enjoyable by the fantastic hospitality and comfort of the Invergarry Guest House. Steve & Victoria did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable with excellent attention to detail, even making homemade cakes and jam! The breakfast was fantastic and cooked to order. The room was immaculately clean and I had the best night's sleep I've had in ages. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting the lakes.

Room Tip: All rooms were great, the garden room has great privacy.

Steve and Vicky were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The personal touches from homemade cake after a long day out to decorating the room for my partners birthday were all greatly appreciated. Would stay again in a flash and would n't hesistate to recommend this lovely little guesthouse to any one heading on a break to the lake.

We stayed in the Garden Suite at the Invergarry for our wedding anniversary, and were very glad we did. Steve and Victoria are perfect hosts, offering a first class experience from arrival to departure.. Breakfast was wonderful and was served with a smile. There is plenty of choice on the breakfast menu, and the Cumbrian Grill is recommended.
The Garden Suite is a lovely room, with a small conservatory where you have your breakfast in private. The room was very clean and well furnished, as was the en-suite shower room. The bed was large and comfortable, and we slept very well.
Home made cake provided in the room each day is a nice touch, as is the homemade jam provided at breakfast.
The Invergarry has a great location and parking was easy outside. It was a 5-10 minute walk into Bowness, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars, as well as the pier to take boat trips around Lake Windermere. It is 20 minutes walk in the other direction into Windermere. There are plenty of buses if you don't want to walk too.
In a nutshell, we would wholeheartedly recommend the Invergarry and there is nothing not to like!

Room Tip: The Garden Suite is fantastic - self contained and very quiet.
