The apartment was very comfortable. International channels on television was a pleasant surprise. The collection of books was amazing. The breakfast was also very good. We loved our stay at Cambridge House.

Debbie and Dave were very lovely and were really helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Great location, just off the main high street, so quiet but convenient. We didn't have breakfast their as we met friends of ours in the town centre but it smelled delicious!

Debbie and Dave run this beautiful guest house. We were welcomed right from the start and Debbie was keen to find out what we were up to on our stay to help us plan our days. Needless to say, we had a fabulous time!!
The breakfast was delicious - Dave did a cracking job on both mornings. The bed, well, it was SO comfortable (especially after a long day of walking).
Tip: if you are planning to walk up the Old Man of Coniston, get the car ferry across which is a short drive from the b&b. It's only £4 and is a different way of doing things.
The Guest House is quiet, relaxing and homely. Thank you so much for our stay! We will definitely be returning. X

It was a perfect stay, we went away for a short girls holiday before we both went in different directions for uni. We had a twin room with ensuite, everything was great from the huge full English breakfast in the morning to little pillow chocolates adding that little extra touch. And a wide range of DVDs that you could borrow and watch in your room if you wanted a quiet night in, but if you didn't you were literally 2 seconds away from a beautiful Italian restaurant and others bars and restaurants in Windermere and only a 30min walk down the hill to Bowness-On-Windermere to even more bars and restaurants. And even though we were so close in the centre of the town/village, it did not feel like that at all with no traffic noise and our room had a window that out-looked onto a pretty courtyard and other surrounding classic stone houses.
No complaints everything was great and we even had free access to a spa which outlooks onto the Lake Windermere.
So thank you for a great end to a great summer.

Highly recommended - really homely b and b and wonderful cooking. She did all our washing for us when we asked where the nearest laundromat was and booked the most wonderful minibus trip for us - the driver was outstanding and a real character.
