“Brilliant family fun, highly recommended. A 'must do'”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Treetop Trek when we were visiting the area in September. We chose the mini trek as we were concerned our children might be too young for the (higher) longer trek. I think we chose right - although it didn't look that high from the ground, the 'mini' one is pretty high and certainly high enough to get the adrenaline going! My children, aged 6 and 9, loved it, as did my husband and I. At one point my 6 year old son got 'the wobbles' and refused to go any further. The staff were tremendous; very encouraging and kind, and they got my son going again, to the extent that at the end he was telling everyone how much he loved it.The staff were excellent; all very knowledgeable, kind and incredibly patient.I'd highly recommend this. The zip wire at the end is just fantastic - we were talking about it for the rest of the day. My main tip would be to listen to the instructors as they have lots of tips for making the most of your treetop trek. Do it, you'll love it!

“Good activity, but could do better”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

Had a very good day out at the Tree Top Trek with my family today. The whole day was a very exciting adventure. However this was marred but the fact that one of my family members was not able to take part in the final zip wire, this was even after completing the full course. This was due to a weight restriction on this apparatus which was only made apparent to us when he reached the top of the tower. This was a massive let down as you can imagine and on further investigation as to the signage prior to starting the course, it was shown NOT to mention any weight restrictions for any part of the course, as if there had been my family member would not have taken part or felt embarrassed. When attempting to address this on the telephone with Mr Mike Turner Director of the Tree Top Trek, he became very unhelpful and quite negative with his responses. It wasn't the fact that we wanted a refund at that time, we just wanted him to be aware of this oversight in his signage. The result of this is we as a family will not be returning to Brockhole, even though we are local to the area.

“Great family activity and quite a workout!”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Our family including kids aged 14 and 10 did the full course today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff focused on our safety and ensuring we all had a great experience. We've done rope courses before including Go Ape and I would say this was just as challenging. The triple zip wire at the end makes a great finish. If you are over 13 stone you get a parachute to deploy part of the way down to slow you down!
It took us about an hour and a half but when it's busy it could take longer so best pay for 3 hours parking = £5. For people not taking part there are gardens to explore, a cafe, adventure playground, information centre, gift shop, a free mini-climbing wall and access to the lake/boat trips. We rang Brockhole first thing and booked our time slot to avoid disappointment when we arrived - recommended.

“Top experience”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

We took our three grandchildren to this attraction a couple of days ago and we all had great fun. The staff were outstanding with the kids,- highly professional, patient and encouraging. The course is well designed, all the equipment new and the strong focus on health and safety allowed us all to thoroughly enjoy it at our own pace. The kids can't wait to return.
Exceeded expectations!
PS, a good play area, cafe, shops, walks through the grounds to the lake offered variety and interest as each person did the challenge.
