Fabulous location! Stunning Scenery! Welcoming owner and staff, nothing too much trouble!

Loved this week long holiday had a perfect time! Would definately recommend this guest house! Stunning location! Friendly welcoming staff! Award winning food! Diverse range of eateries and cafes! Looking forward to returning very soon!

Thank you! Yes, we're positioned between the 2 villages and I reckon there's about 25 eateries within a 15 minute walk! So you can't get too bored of the food options here - that's a bit like our breakfast menu! It was fun having you two with us :-) Kind regards, Rich

100%fab stay

Hi Richard and staff.
Myself and Chris stayed 3 nights in august20/23 for my 40th birthday as Chris had surprised me as I always wanted to stay in lakes .words can't describe what a great hotel he had chosen nothing was to much trouble your staff are amazing go the extra mile with everything .hotel is very clean warm comfortable and modern home from home . Room 6 was beautiful champagne on ice on arrival and a birthday card from u all great gesture .breakfast was perfect not greasy fresh and very tasty great offer of juice fresh fruit yogurt an cereal caters for everyone .we will most definitely be visiting again for a weekend .the booklet info in bedroom was helpful visited a few fab restaurants out of it also the low wood spa is an excellentopportunity to unwind and enjoy the tranquility of relaxation. Once again Richard the stay was all round 100% . Thanks mel n Chris from Bolton x

Recently stayed 3 nights here Made to feel very welcolme by Rich and his friendly staff.

We had one of the larger rooms which was great Breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. We could'nt have asked for a better location between Bowness and Windermere.Would definately stay here again.

Room tip: Large room was quiet

Lovely stay!

Spent 4 nights at St John's Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Convenient location, in the middle of Windermere station and Windermere lake, so walking to the restaurants and shops at both ends was not a problem.

Breakfast was great and is much needed fuel for the long hikes you may have planned. There was so much variety on the menu and caters to every dietary requirement! The staff are super friendly and are always on hand for suggestions on places to visit.

Our room was very compact as we had chosen the standard room, so would definitely choose a bigger room (as I do like space) next time. Would definitely come back here!

Great place

Our stay at St Johns was the best part of our trip to the Lake District! Rich was very helpful in giving us tips for what to do during our stay in the Lake District, breakfast was delicious and the rooms are extremely comfortable, with a cozy and modern feeling. We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna that are available at the local leisure club.

Room tip: The room included passes to a leisure club with a hot tub and sauna, a great place to go after a day at the lakes.
