We stayed here on a KGB deal. There were 6 of us and from the moment we arrived we found the hotel staff to be very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little dated but is still very nice, overlooking the lake. We had a 2 course inclusive deal and the food & service in the restaurant cannot be faulted, all top quality food (I had shoulder of lamb, with dauphinois potatoes, veg & mint gravy. The restaurant manager (Laszlow) is also very good. The hot breakfast is served buffet style and is very nice indeed. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again !

Stayed at the Craig manor hotel last weekend, we had booked a twin bedded room, however at check in it became obvious that we had been allocated 2 single rooms as they had no twins available, my first thought was why on earth confirm a booking and take the payment up in advance for something that isn't available , we booked via Avios. However before I could express my annoyance the chap behind the desk, must have read my mind, and swiftly offered us the vacant family room on the ground floor next to the car park. This room was excellent it incorporated 2 rooms 1 with twin beds and 1 with King size bed, plus large bathroom with jacuzzi bath, was well impressed. We ate in the paisley restaurant each evening and the food and service was excellent. The breakfast buffet style offering was also good, although the staff at Breakfast were less attentive than those who served in the evening. A very enjoyable stay in a great location a short walk from the Steamer Pier at Bowness, the hotel also has a good car park. We will certainly be visiting again!

I was there for a formal dinner one evening and we were well looked after. A guest who had not warned them that the fixed menu would not suit his normally vegetarian diet was not allowed a vegetarian meal (only two having been ordered) by a rather harsh sounding member of staff - thankfully he was not a strict vegetarian. Decent bitter. Good food. Pleasant surroundings

We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night for 1 night. The location of the hotel is great, a few minutes walk and you are in the centre. Staff in the hotel are great and their is a car park too which takes the stress away of finding somewhere to park overnight. We stayed in room 214, it was on the first floor with a road view, very nice room, not massive but good enough for us to lay our heads and nice and clean. No noise from the road that we noticed, however, make sure you turn the radiators down because it gets HOT! Breakfast was nice, quite a good choice of what to have, be it cereal, fruit or a full English. Lovely hotel and the bar is nice too with plenty of comfy chairs, nice character too. Would definitely return! Hope this helps

Stayed for 2 nights midweek on the hotels "Winter warmer offer" & have to say geat value for money. We booked a lake view room & glad we did as think the rooms at the front of the hotel would be noisy due to the very busy road. Lovely home made biscuits in the room along with a bottle of wine (both included in the offer) we had a 4 course meal in the hotel restuarant, on the 1st night again included in the deal & have to say it was very good. Food well presented & very hot & tasty, only minor complaint would be that the sauce for the sticky toffee pudding would be better served in a small pouring jug as it came with the sponge swimming in the sauce & it was very rich!
Hotel well located for both Windermere & Bowness, can walk into Bowness in 5 to 10 minutes.
Overall had a lovely stay & would return especially if there is another offer on!

We stayed here for two nights for £218 or something like that. It's a weekday deal and includes 4 course dinner one night, breakfast both days. a bottle of wine, biscuits and a cocktail (which we did not partake of). The room was cosy and very clean, with a comfortable, somewhat small double bed compared to most hotels now. The free tin of home made biscuits were scrummy and there was lots of tea and coffee and additional biscuits in our room anyway. Our room was at the front and there is road noise beginning early in the morning as the hotel is on a very busy road - a lakeside room may be quieter. Dinner was OK. Just OK - we booked for 7 but our order was not taken until 7.40 and people who arrived after us in the lounge were seated before us. The food was just OK - hot. I ordered fishcake which was supposed to come with a rarebit and did not. The fish and chips was like OK frozen battered fish. Desert (bread and butter pudding) was good and plentiful, as was the crème brulee with a chunky home made shortbread. Breakfast was plentiful, not a lot of choice on the continental options, no porridge and just cereal and fruit, limited toast and no refills for coffee, although lots of tea. All the staff were friendly and helpful and its a good location for Windermere and the Lakes generally. The hotel is clean and tidy. We have stayed before and would stay again, but not have dinner as it was just not that good.
