Second visit to this hotel. Very clean hotel decorated in traditional style, so don't expect ultra-modern. Went with my mum and 16 year old daughter for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. We stayed in room 105 on the ground floor by the rear carpark, which was a family room ie double massive bed and separate twin bedded room with jacuzzi bath and shower. Very clean and quiet except when people coming down the stairs early on a morning.

Best thing about this hotel is the fantastic food and absolutely love the chicken breast stuffed with ginger and mango in a white wine and chive sauce although very rich is simply gorgeous. The chefs here are super talented and the food would be perfect for any 5 star hotel.

We will be back.

Room Tip: Pick a room at the rear as the front as traffic noise.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in the first week of August and had a lovely time. Rooms very spacious and there was a very good power shower/tv/coffee and tea facilities. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we decided to go out. It is in an ideal location to walk to Bowness and close to restaurants and shops. It is a little dated inside but as you often don't stay inside your hotel very much when you're away it didn't bother us. Large carpark and lovely views, an ideal hotel for a getaway in the lakes.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and we were very impressed with the helpful staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. We upgraded to a room on the back after reading reviews. The room was well worth the £40 extra. The views were amazing and it was so quiet we were able to leave the window open through the night. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom with power shower was great. We stayed in Room 212. Breakfast was superb. As in most hotels it was buffet breakfast. My husband said it was one of the best hotel breakfasts he has had. The dining room is lovely with gorgeous views. We didnt have dinner in the hotel because there are so many restaurants and pubs to choose from and they are just a short walk from the hotel.
This hotel is in an ideal location and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front face a busy main road so a room on the back has stunning views and is very quiet.

We were invited to a wedding reception in the Lakes so booked a night at Craig Manor. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was clean and tidy and close to lots of shops and nice pubs, the staff were lovely and helpful and I would stay here again. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the breakfast was adequate. My only criticism would be that the room was incredibly warm and we had to have the window open all night, but to be fair it was a warm day.

Lovely hotel situated on a busy road between Winderemere and Bowness. Short walk to Bowness a little furtherthe opposite way to Windermere. Nice rooms and lovely breakfast in a room overlooking the countryside

Room Tip: Overlooking the back is quieter than the back

We didn't stay here but we did eat in the restaurant and I can honestly say it was the worst meal I've ever eaten and its memorable for all the wrong reasons. I had the turkey roast dinner. The roast potatoes were dry and had been kept hot for a while, the stuffing was sloppy and the meat tasted like the processed stuff you buy in a supermarket. My husband had lamb and his meal was fine so I thnk I was just unlucky

Stayed here for 2 nights, it just wasnt long enough! The views from the bedroom were fanastic (we were on the top floor). Room was clean and perfect for our needs. Bathroom was clean and power shower was great!

We had stunning views of the lake and the staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal was superb and buffet breakfast was lovely, lots of variety - fresh juices, tea/coffee, cereal, cooked breakfast and enough choice for everyone.

Hotel was in a great location - 5 mins walk from the centre of town. My only critism is the alleyway leading to the good sized car park, was very tight and coming out of the hotel isnt the easiest as it is located on the hub of a hill.

Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: If you arent good with stairs - this hotel isnt for you.......
