Location is fantastic as its right in between windermere and bowness.

We spent two nights here on a girls weekend. As soon as you walk through the door you know it will be a fantastic stay. The owners are very welcoming and the decor throughout is amazing (lots of Laura Ashley). We stayed in the two single rooms (5 & 8) and both were very comfortable, cozy and well laid out!

Breakfast is of very high standard. Choice of full english, sandwiches, yogurts, fruit, cereal and so on. 10/10 for the coffee!

On the last night of our stay, we noticed that the owners had left the doors open to the rooms that were not being used. What a fantastic idea! We couldn't help but explore (having had a few drinks), and now i'll definitely be booking the double poster room for my husband and I. Very clever way of securing extra business!! Cannot wait to come back :-)

Thank you Andrew and Louise.

We had a lovely stay at Rosemount. From the warm, friendly, personal welcome from the owners to the beautifully renovated rooms through to the tasty breakfast we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely stay here again.

Spent three nights here with my son, using it as a base to give my seven year old his first taste of the mountains. Breakfasts kept us well fuelled for the day (make sure you have the full English) and the smart bathrooms and comfortable beds were very welcome at the end of the day. I'll be booking in for next year and aiming to bring other friends with me. Thoroughly recommend it, don't miss out. Phil

We were three couples, parents and adult sons with their partners. We had three superb double rooms of different dimensions but we, as the parents and celebrating my birthday with our close family, were treated to the large four poster room where we congregated for 'our champagne' in regal style. The Bath and Shower rooms, along with their fittings, were all of a tremendously high standard and the use of space was admirable. The beds, linen and decoration were also 'top quality'.

Breakfast was perfectly cooked (no oily residues here), gluten free sausages and gluten free bread were immediately offered to provide for an allergy, the fresh fruit salad was a delight, the grains and yoghurts were removed from bog standard and there was an excellent selection of preserves.

We had met our hosts, a charming young family, on arrival but were most grateful for Andrew's organised approach and helpful advice on the area and walks etc.

We are really impressed with this B&B, in a very convenient location for exploring the Lake District and with secure parking, and will use it when we next visit the area as we felt genuinely welcome, cared for and comfortable.

NOTE FOR THOSE WISHING TO STAY FOR 2 DAYS OR MORE - you will receive free membership of a Spar (Indoor Pool, Gym and Health Centre) in a hotel in Bowness which could really enhance a trip to The Lakes at any time of the year!

Room Tip: You might like to seek a room at the back of the building if you are at all worried by minimal traff...

old style outside very modern inside, really clean, neat and tidy bed rooms with an excellent shower with a large shower head that you can really stand under { i` m 6`2"} the room we had ,room 6, was at the rear of the house, therefore it was very quiet and sunny first thing in the morning,,,nice breakfast ,plenty of choice, but no blackpudding, ha ha . excellent position on the main road , approx half way between Windermere and the lake at Bowness { 15 mins either way} friendly hosts and staff ...would recommend this guest house and we would stay here again

Room Tip: the rooms at the back seem quieter and catch the sun on the morning

Excellent B&B with high standard of rooms and food. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for Bowness and lake steamers. Just leave the car and enjoy the lake. The bathrooms have been updates to a verhy high standard and everything worked.

This B & B is of a very high standard with exceptional, very clean and ultra modern rooms with lovely breakfasts. The very friendly hosts could not be more helpful. Rosemount is approximately midway between Bowness and Windermere with a 10-15 minute walk to either. If you wish to be nearer to one of them, well ... Car parking accommodates 5 cars. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the property (ours was 9) do have a little road noise.
