Looked great, didn't have a chance to stop there though, will definitely come back there when I go to the Lake District once again.

You can park at one of the many car parks in the area, however if you travel from Ambleside the 1st car park you come to on the left, just past the double bend is free, and the best place to park. From there you can walk up the hill and round the lake, and walk back along the road to the car park. You will need walking shoes for this walk.

a lovely 2 hour walk all around the lake, often at a height so you get the views. start at white moss car park

This is one of our favourite spots in the Lakes - fabulous viewed from different angles, it is hard to put the camera down - I have reproduced several on canvas which are displayed around the house.

a sparkling Lake District Lake that is so easily missed. Just north of Ambleside on the A591, just before you get to Grasmere. An excellent circular walk takes you around with options to extend on to Loughrigg Fell with stunning views of Rydal, Grasmere and Windermere.
Rydal Mount is also on the walk, a former home of poet William Wordsworth, with gardens and house to visit, great little tea room too.
Just go and enjoy!
