Good for: Romantic, Families with children, Local cuisine
Dining options: Late Night, Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Delivery, Reservations, Takeout
Description: In the daytime we are a full on coffee shop specialising in rather large portions of desserts be it hot or cold. We source a lot of our products locally with the knowledge that local is best. We pride ourselves on fast, efficient service serving holiday makers and locals alike all year long. We get repeat business from all over the country and find that people make a B line to this restaurant. Don't take our word for it. Walking down the street of restaurants & bars looking for a nice place to eat, Lazy Daisy's enticed us in with a friemdly look to it and with a clear and mouth watering specials board, in we went. Greeted by friendly staff, we were seated quickly to a clean table and quiet table.
My partner had Stilton Chicken and I had the Reggae Reggae sauce chicken. Cooked perfectly and presented so well, it seemed a shame to eat it, but we did, all of it!
Overall, a fantastic experience and we will definatly come back here! (We even came back for puding the next day! Try the sticky toffee pudding!)

Probably a bit of an exaggeration but that is what my wife said when we sat down for breakfast at Lazy Daisy's in Windermere. We were passing through on our way home from a holiday in the Lake District and are genuinely sorry we didn't have the opportunity to stay for dinner as well, as there were a number of tempting options already written up on the specials board for that evening.
There was a real choice of options for breakfast and none of them were too expensive either. It made a real change from the tired English/Scottish breakfast option you tend to get elsewhere. Both my wife and I had the Poached Egg with Bacon on English Muffin and the egg was cooked to perfection. Our children had the Porridge with Cream and Honey and it was also delicious. Service was excellent and the interior was nice and bright and well laid out. You can tell the owners take a real pride in their restaurant and the food they provide and if we ever happen to be be passing this way again we will definitely be stopping in.

Dear Tony & Sue

I just wanted to thank you so much for a fabulous night on Friday. It was a roaring success. From the decorations, layout of the tables, lighting, music and service provided by all your staff, it was FIRST CLASS.

Sue went beyond the call of duty and was an exemplary member of staff as were her polite assistants. None of the orders came out wrong and the food was delicious … even the huge portions and the scrumilicious desserts for the greedy ones amongst us!

Sue was brilliant with all the girls and looked after them so well and was extremely patient with them. Thank you Sue, you really did contribute to a wonderful evening.

We can’t wait to come and experience the excellent food again so please convey our compliments to the chef and his behind the scenes helpers as well.

Sorry we didn’t meet Tony, wasn’t jealous though of you sunning yourself as we enjoyed our weekend just as much!

The whole weekend went so well, we had a brilliant time and it kicked off in real style on Friday night.

A big thank you from the 15 of us and thanks for all your help.

With very kind regards

Clare (and the rest of the 50th birthday gang!)

My family had an evening meal at Lazy Daisy's - the service was very good and the place was busy. The food was average, being tasty and home cooked. The main thing that let this place down is that you are paying restaurant prices for a cafe environment. I think if they had some linen tablecloths and candle light in the evening to make it feel more like a restaurant then you would feel more justified paying quite high prices for average food. It is children friendly with a reasonable children's menu and colouring activites whilst you wait. Better than The Lighthouse for food, not for atmosphere, not as good as Giotti's if you're looking for a restaurant in the evening in Windermere.
