Me and the wife went away for weekend 31 may,Hotel is 10-15 mins walk out of Windermere, It is set in its own peaceful gardens.Must say after reading reviews very apprehensive but was very impressed with everything,Stayed in room 11, newly refurbed and couldn't fault..Stayed in hotel at night for meal, 3 good courses for approx £16 and plenty of it.Drink not badly priced either for a hotel.Regarding staff they couldn't be more have helpful and polite especially young man on bar Friday night .Breakfast was plentiful , hot and as much tea, coffee and toast as you wanted. No problem with bill and everything was in order. This hotel does allow dogs in the rooms but we had no problems what so ever. This hotel caters for the visually impaired so has good access for people with any disability's, Overhall we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is slightly dated in decor but it was clean and tidy. We wish we had stayed a bit longer
