Stopping off at The Bridge on our way home from the lakes we found the new Bistro to be fantastic. Great service, delicious food, lovely decor and a great atmosphere... All a reasonable price too. A brilliant place to drop in. We were made to feel very welcome and were impressed with the manageress who was highly efficient and courteous. Highly rated!

“Excellent customer service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2014

We stopped there this Saturday, and there was mix up with our order, but they were so nice about and attentive to my wife, whose order it was, that I had to comment. The food was good, and coleslaw was unusual, but in nicest way - a delicate & tasty. I loved it

“A little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014

After a long day trip I remembered having passed this place on route to our destination. On our return we decided to pop in for a bite to eat here rather than continuing to Penrith. Best decision of the day.....Obviously newly opened but probably the most pleasant restaurant we have been in for a while. Lets start with the staff...very attentive and friendly.....cuisine was lovely and slightly different from the usual boring menus. We ordered the Salmon and the Soufflé followed by the Fish Goujons and the Thai Curry.....Excellent food. My only criticism is that it is too far away from my house. For anyone travelling South near Penrith , this is certainly a worthwhile detour and a thousand times better than the muck you get served at service stations. Give it a go and you will end up writing a review too

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

We called in here for a quick bite to eat on the last leg of a very long 7 hour journey, so glad we did, we ended up staying longer than planned as it was so lovely, I had the 7oz steak and my husband had the salmon, everything was cooked to perfection, so delicious we decided to stay a while longer and have a dessert, both had the sticky toffee pudding which was to die for!! I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I have had in a long time and wish we lived closer so we could visit regularly.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful.

“Tasty food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile

We popped in by coincidence and in a hurry to catch a boat - we regretted so much not to be able to stay longer. My wife had the cheese plate with a very fine selection of local cheeses and I had the sirloin sandwich with local duck egg. What a taste explosion!!!
Next time we make this a planned stop with time to spend to enjoy more of the good things on the menu (the wine card looked great too).
