“Beautiful, well equipped cottage. A real home-from-home in a stunning part of the country!”
Reviewed November 2, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We had such a lovely holiday staying at Bluebell Cottage. Very lovely beds and duvets, warm cottage with period features. Right next to the Pennines and near the Lakes. Our 3 year old loved it so much he cried when we had to leave! Wish we could come back again soon!

“Lovely Cottage in a Great Location”
Reviewed October 12, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

What a lovely little place, perfect for us! Chose this property for a number of reasons, park close by for our little boy, open fire for the evenings, pub serving good food close by to name a few, upon arrival I would say the pictures don't do it justice, the kitchen is great, plenty of room to prepare meals of any size which is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and the middle sitting room is a really good size and much bigger than I was expecting too! really liked the stable door to open while cooking! The house was very clean and well kept, the shower was fantastic. the second bedroom which I couldn't find a description of contains two single beds at different angles but isn't as big as the main bedroom, everything else was as described, I appreciate it is all personal preference but we really enjoyed the house and thought it was just perfect!

Bluebell cottage is located 15 minutes drive from Penrith and is right next to the village green in Ousby. The cottage as everything you need to keep you comfortable whilst you are in residence and was very clean and tidy, The contact with the Landlord was first class and all the questions I asked were answered quickly and politely.I would definitely stay again a greta location and a great pub with great food in the village.

“Perfect location for all age groups”
Reviewed July 28, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Bluebell Cottage was perfect for our family. The cottage is well situated - near the motorway, Penrith, the A66 East and West and to easy and more challenging walks around the north lake district, including Aira Force falls.

It is well stocked with cooking equipment and a fabulous rainfall shower. The heating system is quick and highly efficient, with both a log burner and open fire. The addition of stairgates and two travel cots made life so easy too.

The nearby playground is beautifully presented and provided a range of swings, slide, and climbing equipment and my football mad son was ecstatic to find such a soft, well-tended green space too.

Overall, amazing and definitely a hidden treasure. We will be back again, no doubt.

“Beautiful village location.”
Reviewed July 27, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Bluebell Cottage ticked all the boxes for us. We had the peaceful location along side being able to get to Penrith centre within fifteen minutes and deep in to the Lakes within sixty to ninety minutes. The Cottage provided everything we could ever want for what we needed.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed July 21, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Bluebell cottage was everything it was described as and more! Such a cute cottage set in a lovely village with Penrith only minutes away and in the perfect position to access to all of the Lake district, pennines and the dales , perfect for sight seeing and dog walking. Paul has been very helpful throughout the whole process and was kind enough to allow us to take our 2 very big puppies who enjoyed themselves emmencly as did we, all the local pubs were very dog friendly and equally human friendly, all in all a very enjoyable holiday Thankyou!

“Dog loved it.”
Reviewed July 15, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Great location with a couple pubs within 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk, the local village pub was closed down however. 20 minutes drive from Ullswater and Aira Force. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed, there was no wi-fi but had a strong 4g signal all weekend. Would definitely stay and probably will.
