This is a small country house hotel and with that comes a lot of positives and charm, however that also means you have to be prepared to accept that it is not a modern hotel and success to some parts of the house is limited by narrow stairs, especially to the top floor were I stayed.
I had room 10, which was very nice, large with both a bathroom and a separate kitchen! Getting to the room could be difficult if you are not very mobile as the last set of stairs are very narrow. The staff are aware of this and will offer to help with your bags. The climb is worth it!
One small thing is that reception is not always manned and I had to search to find a member of staff to check in.
The food was fine if a little limited in its range, but well cooked and well presented.
Worth a visit if you want to get away from the rat race.More
