I have to say this is a top hotel. Very clean and tidy and very helpful staff members all over. From the bar to swimming pool and to the personalised cookie the made with our daughters name on it we were looked after very well. We had clean robes and slippers for the pool and the food was awesome including sit down meal and breakie.

We stayed here overnight as we were travelling in this direction. The staff on the desk were helpful & friendly. Our bedroom, a twin which we had booked, was clean, comfortable, beds were comfortable, only one bottle of water? There were two of us. Tea making facilities were good. Bathrobes were quite a strange fabric, not towelling, didn't like them.
Internet was quite good, our room had an adjoining door which meant we could hear continual noise from next door, their TV seemed like it. Was on full but I think it was just because there was an adjoins door, didn't like that at all.
Breakfast was fine but when we went down to breakfast we had to wait until a waiter came to take our room number and show us to a table, we noticed every guest who came down had to wait, some a few minutes, others a lot longer, not really what you want first thing in the morning.
Overall it is a nice hotel with good staff. Will stay again. Maybe a little expensive but it is the only hotel in the area I would stay in.

Thanks for the feedback, and great to see that you continue to enjoy staying with us. Why not request a non interconnecting room next time, we’ll be happy to arrange that for you.

I've never written a review while I've been staying at the place, but the staff here at the North Lakes Hotel are absolutely brilliant. I am staying with my friend who has cerebral palsy, and the staff have been great - so far nothing is too much trouble. We are so used to having to do things for ourselves, that it is sometimes hard to accept the help.

We are staying in one of the accessible rooms. The walk-in shower is great, along with all the grab rails. The room is also really nice, but to get the wheelchair in as well, it is on the small side. However, that is really the only criticism.

We are here for my friend to build back some reserves after a busy 6 months, and so far, the time at the North Lakes is working.

Room Tip: The hotel has two accessible rooms - one with a bath and one with a walk-in shower. You will need to...

We stayed at North Lakes for two nights as we were attending a wedding in the area. The exterior is well looked after although the blue outside walls resembled more a care home than a 4-star hotel. The reception and lobby were beautifully decorated and the staff attentive and helpful.

Unfortunately we did not have the time to use the spa facilities or dine in the restaurant but both looked of a very high standard. The bedroom looked slightly out of place compared to the rest of the hotel as it could do with a sprucing up although it was perfectly clean and comfortable, and the blacked out curtains were perfect for sleeping in. I'd definitely stay there again.

Recently attended a conference. The hotel is very nice, but the food and catering were poor. Tables weren't cleared or refreshed and the lunch was luke warm, a poor selection and insufficient for the numbers. A shame as everything else is really good... excpet the cobwebs in the toilets. Just needs a little push on service before it slips.

Wonderful location just off motorway junction on outskirts of Penrith. The place is still wooden framed windows and needs a good spruce up. Lobby and reception look fine but rooms are getting dated. Functional and provided at right price then okay

I've stayed in this hotel on several occasions in the last 5 years and it remains good. Easily accessible by road (M6) or train (West Coast mainline) and a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The north lake district is minutes away.

The staff are efficient, courteous and charming and the hotel clean and comfortable. A good base.
