As a family we often use the lounge for morning coffee with free scone. The ambience is very good with well trained and friendly staff. Bacon butties are the best. Very clean and tidy. And it is situated very near the town centre, therefore handy for shoppers. A must for everyone to enjoy.
Great atmosphere, warm welcome as we came in by a lovely lady. Shown to a couch ordered and had beers and a meal. Food was excellent well presented and delicious.
Waitresses were very professional and beautiful.
A good place to catch lunch, close to the centre of town and with small tables - good for couples and small groups. Slightly weird decor - neon lighting, big screen TV, tub chairs - probably appeals more to the younger clientele. I'm 53, you know....
Having said that, service was good, the menu broad and the food (I had a very tasty burger) was good value and hit the spot.
Thanks to the barman in the Woolpack for recommending the Lounge - we were hungry and getting tetchy. An hour later, we were happily fed and ready to browse the High Street.
Stayed here with family in November 2011. We stayed in the little self catering apartment within the hotel. Everything was clean, staff very friendly and breakfast was very nice. The bar downstairs in the hotel was excellent for yummy cocktails too!

We struggling to find the car park that was right in front of us (didn't notice the sign, just saw the Laser Wars building), and you had to walk down an alley to the front of the building. Check in was at the bar, which was a little busy by the time we had arrived, but got in and up to our room quick enough. Didn't have much dealings with staff, but the ones we did were friendly and pleasant. Room was clean, tidy, and quite large. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay

Had the 3 bedroom apartment, clean and modern decor and comfortable beds.
Doesn't have any cooking facilities apart from a microwave although we were provided with a toaster on request.
They say that the room sleeps 8 with 2 on the sofa bed but the sofa would be hard to sleep on as you end up rolling into the middle.
8 people staying here with one shower would be difficult, might be fighting for bathroom time but there are 2 separate toilets. Nice hot shower though!!
wouldn't say that this was an apartment on account of the lack of cooking facilities more like a 3 bedroom suite that sleeps 6.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the Hotel did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. that can make all the difference. The staff are great and the bar is a nicely decorated.
This hotel makes for a great base to explorer the area from. there is free parking available at the rear.
Penrith is an idyllic country town.
