A very pleasant three night stay. Food was excellent and served hot. Breakfast are satisfying and enough to see you through the day. One very small criticism, the controls of the room heater were fixed and I would have preferred a cooler bedroom. The window didn't open enough to make much difference, It didn't spolil our break though and we would return.

We've eaten at the Troutbeck Inn a few times. The food is excellent and whenever we're in this part of the Lakes we always book a table. We can remember this pub when it was a drinkers pub that did food. It's changed a lot since then.As I said the food is very good but the menu never changes and there are never any specials.I'd recommend booking a table in the dining room next to the fire. It's a lot more homely in there than the resteraunt which can be a bit chilly. My last point is it's so quiet.Everyone whispers to one another so it lacks a bit if atmosphere. We have stayed here since the refurb & we thought the rooms were very nice.Overall a nice pub that does great food.

I my wife and my 10 year old son had an evening meal at the Troutbeck Inn. the food was delicious and well presented on the plate. However we did feel rushed and it was a little let down the a couple of Polish servers even though very nice people did not understand what I was saying and they had to call the owner for assistance, don't be put off as I think they where new employees and getting used to the Inn.
Please go as you will not be disappointed with the food.

The Troutbeck Inn has become the first choice for a special meal when visiting the Lake District. It was a quiet evening there, however the service and welcome was good. The food was excellent and certainly plan to visit again when next in the locality.

Just had a lovely evening meal here. The atmosphere was good with amazing food. The service was fantastic despite my accidental spilling of a lovely glass of red. would return most definitely. Great night. Many thanks.

my partner and I went here for a meal after it was recommended to us. Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere but could have done with more waiting on staff. A larger choice of wines would have suited us, and a barman with a little more knowledge of local beers would be advantageous.
