“This place is unbelievable!”

We came across this listing while searching the Internet for places to stay in the Lake district. It looked great, but I was unprepared for just how nice it was. Clean, spacious, well kept and close enough to the very beautiful and charming town of Keswick. The rooms are large and with a lot of character. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and amenities. Both bedrooms have their own shower and the radiator heat was nice and even. The grounds outside were nice and the view is something that you have to see to believe. We will be back and I hope this place is available when we do come. The owners supplied a very detailed instruction book that proved very helpful. The Internet connection was good and everything worked. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 days in February. It's a beautiful place with spectacular views, the combination of old and new have been put together at a very high standard. It's kitted out with absolutely everything you need. Would book to stay again maybe in the summer months next time. Highly recommend this place to stay X

“Wonderful spacious apartment for a family”

This was the second time my husband and I and our two children (3 and 1) have stayed at the Conservatory and we will definitely be returning. The apartment itself is well equipped and comfy with loads of room to spread out, especially in the lounge. This is important for us as even on wet days there is room for the kids to roam around without everyone feeling on top of each other. The grounds are beautiful, with enough room for little legs to run around or go for a little explore to see the fish in the pond or the sheep in neighbouring fields to burn off energy without having to leave the site. There is lots to do in the surrounding area including the Lake District Wildlife Park which has been a big hit on both visits. We really love the real fire and spectacular views from the lounge and the dining room which are always changing through the day. Having dinner whilst watching a storm roll across Derwentwater and the valley was very memorable.

“A stunning holiday Apartment”

This was my first time to Keswick and only my second time in The Lakes, the Conservatory is 'grand' without being 'grandiose'. It's a truly stunning holiday apartment in luxurious surroundings. The rooms are large and hark back to a bygone era, the furnishings are homely and comfortable and the two newly refurbished bathrooms are a real treat after a long walk or climb on nearby hills. The apartment is packed with information and helpful suggestions for restaurants and entertainment. The kitchen is very well equipped and a lovley sunny room in which to eat and relax with friends. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable with a kingsize bed and twin beds in the second room, each with its own en suit. I would not hesitate to recommend The Conservatory and plan to return myself next year.

“Amazing stay in the Lakes”

The Conservatory is a lovely apartment just outside of Keswick. My wife and I stayed here for a week earlier this year and had a brilliant time. The apartment is part of Oakfield House and has plenty of character and charm, as well as extremely well-kept gardens (and BBQ area!) outside. The highlight of The Conservatory really is the stunning views out of the living room and kitchen area, and of course from the benches just outside – a panoramic view of the mountains around Keswick which changes with the light throughout the day and never gets old to look at, whatever the weather is like!
The living room is so cosy to be in, and the real fire is a treat to have on in the evenings. There is a luxury bathroom which has a very welcoming bath after a long day out walking. The Conservatory is a short 5 minute drive into Keswick, or we discovered a couple of different routes to walk into town that go off the road which were really enjoyable and didn’t take long at all. Overall The Conservatory is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle of Keswick in a picturesque spot where you can relax and enjoy the views or from which you can explore the hills! I would certainly recommend staying here and hope to return again soon!
