“Probably shouldn't call itself a steak house”
Reviewed February 14, 2011

Booked at a last minute and really wished we hadn't. Starters were over priced & under sized with a really cheap look about them. I myself being a lover of steak but often disappointed by being given steaks by professional chefs never cooked to how i ask for them. A rib eye at £17 surely should be thicker than a pound coin! The only way you can cook that is medium at the least, not rare like i asked. Because everybody elses meals came out at the same time, as usual and being "british" i never said anything and got on with it. When we were given the dessert menu we were told that we had to hurry up choosing because the kitchen was closing!! This was 9.30.
Thank you Siennas. You have finally succeeded after years of threatening never to eat steak in a restaurant in this country ever again. (Stay at home and do it yourself)

“The best medium rare cooked steak I've had in a long time!”
Reviewed February 13, 2011

Me and my wife visited here on the 12th February. We both decided on the valentines menu which was good value. Starters were tasty, but the main was great. We both had steak, medium rare. I can tell you it was fabulous. Pleasant service and a lovely sweet to end. Well done!

“I agree with a fellow reviewer - disappoingly average”
Reviewed February 6, 2011

I came with my wife for a nice meal. What we got didn't live up to what constitutes a nice meal. The layout upstairs is rather strange. A kind of gauze curtain separates one half from the other. This isn't that bad, though it's unattractive, but it does prevent waitresses who stand on one side from seeing the customers on the other. Thus, it's awkward to see to the customer's needs. My jambalaya was fine but not too exciting for the prices. My wife's classic burger was on the cool side and the chips appeared to be warmed up. Nothing horrible here though, but it was the dessert that let the food down. We were some of the last people in, and we ordered cheesecake. What we received was half a cheesecake, a small cheesecake, split into two. The waitress said the bosses' wife made it and this is how it should be. Well, it's plenty if you're a size 8 but I am not. Not good enough. Also, the window where we sat was rotting away, there were cobwebs hanging off the window and the lamp wire was hanging down in front of it. Just really sloppy overally and if the owners watched the odd hotel inspector or Ramsay's Nightmares, they should know that they can do better. Won't bother returning.

“Expected more”
Reviewed January 30, 2011

After reading the positive reviews I was expecting a lot. We where the only two eating at lunch and the service was quite poor. The staff where chatting rather than serving us. The food we had was tasty but the ribs where just bone and fat and there wasn't enough chips.

“More than just a steakhouse”
Reviewed January 4, 2011

Downstairs, Sienna’s features a lively and trendy bar. Upstairs, in the evening, a restaurant features a range of steak dishes, and daily specials also offer a change from beef. We enjoyed perfectly cooked Scottish hake with a cream wine sauce --- an excellent portion of fish, along with carefully-prepared vegetables.
