An easy walk with the possibility of stopping for a cuppa or a beer along the way.
Scenic walk straight out of the centre of Keswick and around this relatively flat well marked path for walkers of all ages.
This was our first walk in the Lake District of England and is one we suggest could be tackled by most people as it is not strenuous and there are a couple of opportunities to pause for a break along the way. It is on Keswick's doorstep.

Fantastic walk with lots of options. You can walk around the lake on the flat in 4/5 hours. You can take a break on the boat on the lake, pop into a pub for lunch or have high tea at a hotel, all cater for hikers weekend or professional. Climb up to Ashness Bridge. All 10 / 15 mins from the shore. Beautiful, peaceful and good for you.

You can use a light weight buggy for a small child as well

Great walk, amazing views, nothing too strenuous. It's about 9 miles around, so allow 3.0 - 3.5 hours for a fairly swift circuit although stopping off to see The Lodore Falls en-route is well worth it. Parking at The Theatre car park will cost around £5.

We walked from Keswick over Walla Crag to Ashness Bridge then to Watendlath & Rosthwaite. The views over the lake were outstanding. Waited in pub in Rosthwaite until time for the bus back to Keswick. Walk took about 5 hours at a gentle pace.

We got most weathers in one day here, but a lap of the lake makes for a brilliant walk. Amazing views!
