“A little piece of heaven with all our needs taken care of.........”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We stayed at Oakthwaite House for 3 nights and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Peter and Sandra really made us feel at home and their attention to every detail was just amazing. The truffle chocolates on arrival, the fresh milk if you preferred this, and the spotless decor, lovely bed linen and immaculate shower room were all examples of this.

We stayed in room 5 on the second floor of the house and this had inspiring views to the hills above Keswick. We were offered a wide choice of times for breakfast and an even bigger selection of what to eat including a delightfully cooked and presented full English breakfast, crepes and fresh fruit. One of us is a vegetarian and was fully catered for.

The king size bed was very comfortable indeed and the house was warm throughout. We would definitely like to return next Autumn and there's no greater recommendation than that.

Stayed for 1 night for my husbands birthday, parking is abit of a struggle but managed to squeeze into a space.
Stayed in room 3 which was small but well decorated with a nice little bathroom. Nice touch was the chocolates on the bed and a birthday card from the owners.
Gorgeous breakfast very filling with eggs extra made to your liking.
This was out first time in a guest house & have to say we were very impressed, friendly owners who couldn't do enough for you.
Highly recommend it & would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Oakthwaite House for two nights from 27th September and we have nothing to say but praise! The room was huge, especially the bed! Everything you could want was provided, including a hair dryer, which is a nice touch for a B&B. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. It was my birthday on the Sunday which I had briefly mentioned on the phone in August, to find a birthday card waiting for me was a really lovely touch and very much appreciated. Peter and Sandra go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, to the point where we spent 10 minutes chatting on the doorstep when we left! Thank you both for a brilliant stay, you even provided the sun! We cannot wait to come again! Hannah and Jason

We stayed here for 4 days to our suprise when we arrived the owners had changed! But this change was not detrimental to our stay if anything the new owners enhanced it! The rooms are lovely clean, spacious and warm. The breakfast I have to say were a particular delight which I looked forward to every day. We found the b n b so nice I thought it the perfect place to propose to my girlfriend, and fortunately she accepted!

We stayed at Oakthwaite in mid August for 4 nights in room 3. We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Keswick. The service from Peter and Sandra was second to none, and the breakfasts brilliant. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone wishing to visit Keswick. Thank you, Sam and Dave!

Just returned from a four night stay at Oakthwaite House in Keswick. It is without doubt the best Guest House I have ever visited, beautiful room, clean, fantastic food and hosts Peter and Sandra could not do enough for us, they even arranged four days of sunshine !!.
We will definitely be booking again.

Room Tip: Ask for room 2, it's fantastic.
