We stayed at the inn for 2 nights , for the price we paid it was quite reasonable but the stairway didn't give good impression with dirty stained carpets and worn decor , we had a small double which we didn't mind we only sleep and shower in our room but the bedding had a few rips in it and the carpet and ceiling was stained , the window latch was broken and the room was far too hot but I think with a bit of a spruce up we would stay again , the breakfast was good and staff friendly , they even fill your flask for you which was very good and no they don't have milk in the room but we told if we required some just let them know and they would put some in our room overall we had a lovely time in Keswick as always

Just come back from a four night stay at the Inn at Keswick. No complaints from us. Its warm, the staff very welcoming and attentive and the breakfasts set you up for a days walking. For the price spot on. Plenty of other pubs in the immediate vicinity if you want to go for a drink elsewhere. Give this one a go!

Quiet break before New Years celebrations, found hotel ideal for location, rooms smart after refurb and original creaky staircase kept along with many other features. Staff all very pleasant barman Josh special mention as courteous and jovial, well run place will definately visit again when in area. Well recommended.

We booked a last minute one night stay at the Inn directly with the team there and found this an easy and friendly process. As we're often in keswick and know the town, parking for free in the nearby Southey Street wasn't a problem. We knew that we were booking the small double room so wasn't concerned that the room was tight on space but it was an ideal stopover for one night. Very warm room, spacious shower room with hot water (shower could have been a tad more powerful), comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast fantastic and we had the place to ourselves for the majority of the time. Good central location with a typical warm Inn feeling. Good beers and meals. Will deffo go back, especially for the price and for the fact that I was able to book a one night stay there on a Sunday when a lot of b&b's in keswick wouldn't entertain us. Their loss I say!!

Room Tip: Rooms to the rear of the hotel may avoid street noise early in the morning. Room one small but perfe...

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad you found us to be friendly and the direct booking process easy. Our rooms are not of a grand scale, but we like to think we offer comfortable and cosy rooms at a very competitive price. I hope to see you next time you're in Keswick.

Kind regards,
Tim Banks - Manager and all the team at the Inn at Keswick.

The Inn is in a good position in Keswick although parking is a ten minute walk away and costs £7 per night. We had Sunday lunch upon arrival which was very poor, the veg consisted of a few roughly sliced carrots and one leaf of kale! The Reception area was scruffy and untidy and the stairs up from the bar area were absolutely filthy. Not a good first impression. The room was adequate for what we had paid, however, we were there three nights and the room was not serviced apart from bed making. No fresh towels, now bins emptied no bathroom freshen up. Not a four star Inn as is advertised to be.

I apologise for your recent visit, unfortunately car parking will always be an issue in Keswick, especially when you haven't got one. I'm disappointed regarding your comments about Sunday Lunch as it is an area we are working hard on to improve, though it seems we need to work harder. We will be spending money next year to improve the décor, so hoepfully on your next visit to Keswick you would kindly give us another try. I will share your comments with the team as we always endeavour to improve.

Kind regards,
Tim Banks - Manager and all the team at the Inn at Keswick.

A centrally located, popular pub/restaurant with rooms.
We received a warm and efficient welcome although the male receptionist didn't feel a need to bring in our bags from the car or open doors as we did so.
Our room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom modern. Some attention to detail was lacking - there was a handle missing from the shower cubicle door and some damage to the bathroom door was untidily covered in masking tape.
The breakfast was excellent and the service received from two waitresses was fantastic.

I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed our fantastic service, we are a little frayed around the edges but we wil be spending some money this Winter to improve the décor and small details, hopefully they will match the welcome and the service.

Stayed here on a free night offer as my partner is a member at the hotel groups leisure centre so can't really comment on cost!

Good location on the main high street and the room was nice. Shower was especially good, though the cubicle could have been a bit bigger!

Bar and restaurant were pleasant with a good selection of local ales and international beers/lagers. Didn't eat evening meal at the restaurant as fancied seeing some of the rest of the town so can't comment, however full 'Keswick' (English) breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The italian Casa Bella round the corner from the hotel is very good for an evening meal - keep some room for the ice cream!

Only downside was the heating was on all night which resulted in having to sleep with the windows open as couldn't find any way of turning the radiators down in the room. Apart from this the room was comfortable.

Note on parking - there is none. Your options are on-street near the hotel, or use the long stay Council car park a couple of mins walk away. Not a disaster really as the whole town is quite small but may be a problem if you have lots of equipment.
