We stayed for two nights and could not have found better. Lovely clean room with really comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. The hosts were really nice people and we will definitely
book Hunters Way again. Location was great, only a few minutes walk to the town centre and
(Theatre By The Lake).

We booked the Hunters Way after trying many others who would not accept one night bookings. We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted warmly by the lady owner, she was very helpful giving us information about the area, fresh milk was available on request. The room was a good size room for two armchairs, view of mountains in background over rooftops. The room and ensuit were spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable firm but not rock hard. Heating could be controlled and windows open. Breakfast excellent. Only bad thing I could say is that the decore was very 9o's but this was not a problem. Oh lots of books and games available, I would defo stay here again.

I stayed for x1 night as I was walking in the Keswick mountains. I had a single room not en suite. The bathroom was very well laid out and a good size. The bedroom whilst small was very clean with lovely crisp fresh towels. The breakfast was excellent and even though I have a huge appetite I struggled to finish the beautiful full English . The owners are eager to make the stay enjoyable.
I will definitely stay again and recommend this establishment . Very competitively priced.

Good plain, honest, value for money accommodation. The single room I had was small, but perfectly adequate and not cramped, and there was no scrimping on anything - indeed, complementary Kendal Mint Cake as well as biscuits, good quality TV, and the use of a dressing gown and superb shared bathroom for single guests. The owners were pleasant and very accommodating, they filled my coffee flask for a donation put in the Mountain Rescue collection box. Good breakfast, good location, a brisk 5 mins walk to the town centre from the top of Eskin Street down St John's Street, past the cinema. What's not to like?! Guess the parking in the street may be problematic in high season - the whole street is full of B&Bs, but I had no difficulty.

Nice traditional B&B, clean rooms with comfy beds and excellent en suite (well room 2 is anyway)

Breakfast is as big as you want, cereal etc help yourself and order hot food, from traditional English (with vege option) down.

Easy walk to the town centre

Run by a local couple

One of the biggest positives is that they take single night bookings, not many others do, C2C followers etc TAKE NOTE!

Room Tip: Room 2 is a big room.

We stayed here on the penultimate night of an 80-mile 6 day walk around the Lake District last month. I agree with most of the previous reviews - the room was fine and the breakfast was pretty good (my walking chum even said it was the best porridge of the week), but all of this was rather spoiled by the slightly 'surly' manner of the landlord. On arrival he was not very welcoming, and at breakfast everything seemed to much of an effort. This contrasted poorly with the great experiences we had at all of our previous stays, which was a real shame.

Great location, parking on street outside and just five minutes walk into the centre of Keswick.

Excellent hosts - very accommodating and friendly.

Rooms are everything you need, comfortable beds, tv, wi-fi, great newly refitted on-suite. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful...
