This walk gives good views of Lake Derwentwater. The mountain has well marked paths and it is not very high so would be suitable for families.

A gradual climb with beautiful views, is rewarded by a breathtaking vista on the summit and along the ridge. the views across the lake towards Lodore and Keswick and also up to Blencathra and Newlands are wonderful. It is a good walk for all ages including children.

Very very busy. Excellent all round views from top though. Slippery worn rocks with a bit of a climb. Parking also a problem.

Good walk that can be done from Keswck - when you get to the other end of the lake and don't fancy the walk back - catch the ferry or bus, nice pub and hotel to use whilst you wait.
