“An enjoyable lunch”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

I would like to have kept this cafe a secret as it is exceptional. There is good fresh cooked food, clean and tidy seats/tables, polite and friendly staff and good music played in the background.
My wife and I enjoyed our lunch.
Also the quality and quantity of food/drink is very good value for money.

“Superb food ! Spottlesly clean and warm welcoming staff .”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited the filling station today for the first time and I have to say I was seriously impressed . Normally when you go in a roadside cafe its as a last resort but after stopping here I would make a special trip just to go there . I had an amazing bacon n egg bap with a coffee . The bacon was thick cut full of flavour and the toasty bap it was in was delicious . Im a big lad and I hate small portions and this was more than generous for the price . The coffee to was really good and in a size 5 mug which again is really generous and a million times better than Costa or anywhere else in keswick . I. I looked through the menu and wished I had time to stay for longer as the burgers sounded incredible . Real beef and not a horse in sight ..all local sourced ! . A couple behind were enjoying some American pancakes and they looked amazing the guy commented that they tasted as good as they looked ...next time perhaps . The lady who was working was really pleasent to chat to and was very attentive and helpfull . Rare in this world sadly . In short I will say give this place a go I guarantee you wont be disappointed . I will defo be telling everyone I know as places as good as this are very few and far between .. keep up the good work guys well done . . Ps.the motorbike memorabilia is awesome too !!

“Just what hte doctor ordered”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

What do you want after a brisk walk in the hills, a cumberland sausage bap and a pint of tea of course. Just on the edge of town it's a great place to fill up with grub from cakes and pastries up to large plates with a range of teas and good coffes to wash them down.Fun, buzzy and very welcoming. Not a large amount of seating inside but benches outside for when the weather's good. Great value and worth a look.
