Braved the cold wet miserable weather Saturday the 26 January to give my BMW Gs a spin out and blow off some winter blues. After a circular tour of west cumbria I dropped in at the Filling Station cafe to refuel my body and soul the place was busy but I was the only biker.Special board looked tasty and loaded with good fodder Haggis Haggis sausage bacon beans fried tomatoes and egg and a tattie scone all washed down with a mug of tea and accompanied by some toast £6.95 good value. The service was slow and table space at a premium but as I was in no rush I did a bit of people watching with people who to be polite shared tables with total strangers. My nearest neighbours were a Southern middle class couple paired up with a really broad cumbrian local and. Could tell they only understood a quarter of the craic they. had.All fascinating and all for£8 quid ins the tip.
