Attention to detail makes all the difference when staying at Bed and Breakfasts round the country. It makes the difference between somewhere to sleep, and a really enjoyable experience. The Cartwheel is an exceptionally enjoyable experience. The bed was very comfortable, and plenty warm enough, with extra blankets in the wardrobe if needed (and this is the Lake district!). The towels were beautifully presented on the bed. Bathrooms were clean, and the showere superb, as good as any top class hotel. It's these little things that let down other B&Bs so often. Breakfasts were excellent - the fruit and yoghurt carefully chosen to compliment each other, eg pineapple and other exotic fruit with coconut yoghurt, and different each day. The bread was home made, so the toast was a real treat. The welcome was friendly and helpful, but not invasive, exactly what you want. And there was free wifi, easy to access.
