We popped in here for a cup of tea and a light bite to eat, we were not disappointed. Great service, Farrers Lakeland tea and a fantastic jacket potato with tuna and lovely salad. You certainly get your money's worth and the quality of food in this cafe is just fab, and it comes with a lovely view of the fells.

We've visited George Fisher lots of times but never found our way up to the teashop. We put the right this week, and so glad we did. This is a cosy little area at the top of the store...I think to call it a restaurant might be a little generous but the food is fresh & delicious, and the staff were particularly helpful & friendly. The dishes were served with a really tasty salad, apricot chutney and coucous...much nicer than the usual bit of rocket that so many restaurants pass off as a side salad.

I've taken off a star for the food because I thought the vegetarian options were limited but otherwise excellent and I'm looking forward to our next visit.

We have been to Abrahams before but on Saturday 1 December it was particularly cold outside. As we went into the cafe the couple in front of us were both having the most delicious smelling chicken broth. I immediately ordered it and it was fantastic - a large bowl full of tasty, lovely broth. A real winner. My husband had the baked potato with smoked mackerel and this was also a winner. Helpful, friendly staff - a real pleasure to visit.

Just returned from a week in Keswick and several lunches at Abraham's cafe. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The food is good quality and the portions ample. We always view visits to this cafe as one of our holiday treats and a reward for a morning cycling or walking.
