I don't want to write this review because we had such a good time we'd rather keep it to ourselves - but that would be selfish. Excellent food, which had improved from its already high standard. Excellent service, despite the hotel being really busy. The staff were charming and relaxed with time to give real attention, as usual. The clientele were definitely of a 'certain age' this time, but the hotel is good with families. Go and enjoy!

Room Tip: Rooms to the front and garden side are our favourites. Others like the station rooms but I find tha...

FRom 5/10 October (Five nights we spent at The Keswick Hotel). We have been visiting this hotel for at least twenty years (several times per year). Upon arrival as usual we got a very warm welcome and assistance with our luggage to the Room (108) - the room was well appointed and clean and maintained like it throughout our stay. All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and polite. The food and service in the Restaurant was exceptionally good and the Staff worked very hard to ensure meals were served in a reasonable time. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone - because of slight disabilities we ask for a room on the First floor and this is usually granted. We normally book a few weeks in advance to trake advantage of our speca-ial room. Because of advancing years our trips to The Keswick are now restricted to the better months of the year - we travel over 140 miles from the east coast to The Lakes. Because of everything at The Keswick Hotel the journey is well worth the effort. We always feel very much at home with the friendly staff at this Hotel.

Recently arrived back from a mini break in Keswick. My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many many times. We will of course continue to stay there in the future. This time we stayed in room 205 and the views of the fells including Skiddaw were unbelievable. The self service breakfast was excellent as usual and the three nights we had dinner was first class with an excellent menu choice each night. All the staff at this hotel are very polite and helpful. My wife and I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We recommend the garden rooms and the king de-luxe rooms because of the views.

Just come back from a three day break in Keswick. We would recommend this hotel, friendly staff but professional, spotless bedrooms and food to die for. We stayed in room 302 overlooking the gardens with a lovely seating area at one end of the room. Fantastic power shower bathroom spotless. Croquet gardens with squirrels running over them at night when they were lit up. Beautiful. It was our anniversary and we came here last year, we will definitely be coming back. We have friends who come for a Christmas break and they recommend it highly. See you in 2014 lovely hotel.

our second visit, our room had been refurbished the week before, everything new, new bathroom suite and tlies. got bargain last minute which included evening meal. Cant agree with other reviews that it tired or drab, dining room is lovely. Food amazing, the three course evening meal was 5 star quality. The staff are lovely, professional and friendly. Loads of choice for breakfast and good quality products. Bar prices reasonable, special offer of 4.00 off every bottle of wine whilst we were there. Location is perfect, a short stroll into the town, surrounded by mountains and magnificent scenery. The hotel do reasonably priced packed lunches for walkers. I'm looking to book the themed black and white nights for December which look excellent value. Cannot fault the hotel or service and will be going back again.

Room Tip: ask for one of the newly refurbished rooms if available

Stayed here several times - and just back from another short break there. Great hotel and when you compare it with simalar hotels in the lakes is far, far cheaper. The food is nothing less than BRILLIANT and the staff, headed by a wonerful manager - Stephanie are simply outstanding!!
Ok .....some of the rooms are still needing re-furbishment, but this will always be a work in progress for such a large 'well used' old lady of a property. I have been in this industry for over 40 years and it is rare to see a property perform year on year, providing just such a great service for such a small tariff......well done Keswick .....keep up the great work..!!!!

Had a very pleasant 3 day stay - room, food, staff & surroundings good. Very handy for parking up the car and walking into town or up the railway track footpath into Threlkeld for pub lunch !
Lovely walk up Latrigg Fell from hotel too. Another plus was the weather - lovely Autumn warm sunshine.
