On arrival at Stonegarth, we were warmly welcomed by Steve. He promptly took our bags from us and showed us to the room, explaining arrangements on the way. The room was exactly as described. A jacuzzi bath, with TV in the bathroom, a shower with body jets and then a nice modern 4 poster bed. Both the bedroom and bathroom were clean. In fact, I couldn't pick any faults. The room has complimentary drinks, with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Considering the outside temperature was -5 degrees, it was also very pleasant to have a small glass of sherry on arrival (at least I think it was sherry!). On leaving Stonegarth, we said we would definitely be back. Would recommend to anyone!

We stayed 4 nights at Stonegarth in a four poster room with a fabulous jacuzzi bathroom. Lovely big room, wonderfully comfortable. Nice extras such as a fridge in the room, great for chilling the wine. Lots of hot & cold drink facilities provided in the room and lovely toileteries in the bathroom. The owners are very friendly & helpful and served a fabulous breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location in a quiet street but only 5mins walk into town. It also has off road car parking which is a rareity for Guest Houses in Keswick! Wonderful place to stay, would recommend to everyone.

We have been visiting Keswick for many years now and have stayed at a selection of the B&B's. We have always been happy with our choice of accommodation, the competition is high ensuring that standards are consistently good. But we have to say the Stonegarth is the best we have stayed in so far.

Everything was excellent; spotlessly clean room, wonderful bed and an indulgent bathroom, so much so that we couldn't wait to get back after a hard days walking. We booked one of the premier rooms which was contemporary and extremely comfortable with everything you need. The not so usual extras, fresh milk, soft drinks, sherry on arrival and we just have to mention the TV in the bathroom all added that extra edge. The usual extras such as tea, coffee, biscuits and bathroom products (L'Occitane) were such good quality that we felt very pampered.

It is clear that Stephen and Di want their guests to fully enjoy their stay as they pay meticulous attention to all the finer details. We certainly enjoyed our stay, the Stonegarth is at the top of our list and we look forward to returning.

We have stayed at Stonegarth many times now and love it so much we are booked to stay again in a few weeks time.

Having stayed in 4 of the 6 rooms we can not find fault with any of them. Several of the rooms have been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard - the best we have ever stayed in in the numerous B&B's we have used in the Lakes over the years. The various prices of the rooms reflect the sizes of the rooms and also whether or not they have been refurbished. We've stayed in the lowest, mid priced and highest priced rooms and all of them have been wonderful.

Rooms are well cleaned and the beds are extremely comfortable - more comfortable that ours at home!

Breakfasts are first class and Stephen is a wonderful host.

Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Stonegarth. Welcomed on arrival and the room and En - Suite explained without fuss. Breakfast was very nice and any combinatin of food seemed posssible and no trouble.
The guest house is an easy 5 mins walk from the town centre but in a quiet area of town.
We love the Lakes and this is a great place to stay and spoil yourselves.

We had a lovely weekend break for my birthday. Stephen was a wonderful host and although we didnt meet his wife, she was a strong influence behind the scenes. Our room was lovely, cosy, luxurious and comfortable so much so, we spent more time there than we planned. Thankyou very much for the birthday treat.
Every need was catered for. We put a bottle of champagne in the fridge and when we returned to our room 2 champagne glasses were waiting for us. The Lakeland breakfast was a great start to the day.
An ideal location for exploring the Lakes, an easy stroll into Keswick without the parking hassles.
We have recommended Stonegarth to all of our friends and cant wait to return.
