We booked a B&B to stay in for 3 nights in Keswick and chose the best room available. We've stayed in Keswick a lot but never found the Stonegarth before - we'll definitely be back! We travelled by train and called ahead to check the owners would be in - our room was already ready which meant we could leave our bags and get on with enjoying our trip. The room was beautiful and hotel quality - a generous 4 poster and well decorated. IN the bathroom there was a double jacuzzi bath and even a TV! A lovely touch was the fact that there was a small fridge in the wardrobe
which meant there was fresh milk for the tea - much better than UHT which you get in most places. It's these small touches which make a real difference. There was also a small glass of sherry each, and glasses and a corkscrew should you choose to bring your own wine in.

Breakfast was also lovely with locally sourced bacon, eggs and sausages, and there was also a choice to have scrambled eggs with mackerel.

We'll definitely be back!

Came here for my 40th in November last year. Booked the Premier Room walked round Derwent water in the rain but still enjoyed and then came back to a jaccuzzi bath and shower to die for. Four poster bed was very comfortable and lovely. Just that little bit extra for when you have had a long walk, and near enough for a drink in the town later on. Good Hearty breakfast to set you on your way and good off road parking. Have reccommended to friends and going back again.

Nice little B&B in a quiet residential street but only minutes walk from the main thoroughfare in Keswick and about 5-10 minutes walk to the lake itself (Derwentwater); we took the two bigger rooms with the four poster beds which were in the extension and v. modern with a large bathrooms and jacuzzi baths and jet showers - which were great after walking all day; breakfast was really good too (nicest bacon I've had in a long time). Happy to return to both this B&B and Keswick in the future

2nd time round to Stonegarth. Once again amazing hospitality, great room, fabulous breakfast which was much needed for climbing Skiddaw and Scaefell Pike!
Stonegarth is becoming highly addictive, so much so we have booked for December, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

There are a bevy of B&B's on this street (and three of them in the building in which Stonegarth is housed!). This is a very good B&B accommodation with large rooms and excellent amenities. A fabulous bathroom with tub and shower makes this a rare thing in the B&B realm.

After a very busy start to the year tanya and i stayed here for a well earned 5 day break and i have to say it was just perfect .Super hosts and superb accomodation oh and a breakfast to set you up for the day . We are looking forward to a return later in the year .
Rooms were spacious and very well equiped .Keswick town centre only a few minutes away so not far to stagger back after a good walk in the mountains and a couple of local ales . Have recomended to freinds and family and will definately go again . Kind regards Tanya and Steve

This is the second time we have stayed at Stonegarth and as before it was exceptional, the warmest of welcomes, the rooms are spotless and the breakfast is perfect what more can I say other than I will be booking next year’s stay shortly.
