My husband and I went to Keswick for a couple of nights and beforehand had highlighted Shemera as a possible place to eat on the Friday evening. We luckily managed to book a table and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is friendly and service is attentive, but not overbearing. You take your own wine/beer and just pay a corkage, so you can choose your favourite wine to take with you and it doesn't cost a fortune as in other restaurants. The menu choices are fabulous and we could have chosen at least 4 starters and mains each! The food is superb - so tasty and fresh and served with attention to detail. It isn't what you would call a plush fancy restaurant but you feel as if you are having a 'comfy meal' in a friends home. Make sure you book as they only serve 6pm-8pm but it is well worth making an effort to go.
