We've just spent a long weekend in the Lake District and had the good fortune to stay at Pitcairn House. Steve and Heather provided a lovely weekend and nothing was too much trouble, from a cup of tea and a biscuit on arrival to the fantastic locally sourced bacon for breakfast. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Steve and Heather were able to give us advice on places to eat in the evening from personal experience and that of previous guests and with the guest house being situated less than 5 minutes walk from the town centre, nowhere was very far away.

We stayed in Room 3 which is a double room providing fantastic views of the mountains. Our initial thoughts that the room lacked storage space quickly dispersed as there is ample space under the bed for bags, rucksacks, etc plus a wardrobe and drawers, so no problems there. Thankfully we didn't need to use it but we were reassured to know that there was a drying room in case the Lake District weather had been more inclement. Thanks for a lovely stay and if we're ever in Keswick again needing B&B Pitcairn will be top of our list.

So glad you enjoyed your long weekend with us here at Pitcairn House. Fortunately the weather was reasonable so no need for the drying room as you noted. but always handy to know its there. Thank you for your all your comments and many thanks for the lovely review. We hope you will come and stay with us again soon.

Stayed at Pitcairn Hse for 3 nights in May. Heather and Steve were on holiday so we were looked after by Steve,s parents. We were extremely pleased to find that they were every bit as charming and receptive to our needs as Heather an Steve were. It was once again a truly relaxing stay in the highest quality surroundings. Thanks once again.

Room Tip: The feature room is really special for only a few pounds extra. Highly recommended

My parents are delighted that you appreciated their efforts during your stay and we are glad they were acceptable replacements. We do not often hand over the reins to them but always good to know that our guests are in safe hands while we are away. From what they told us it sounds like you had the relaxed stay that you both needed. We are sorry we missed you this visit and hope we see you both again soon.. Thank you for the thoughtful review and a big thanks from my parents

Best wishes from Heather and Steve.

Your looking for a B&B in Keswick then look no further as Pitcairn is the best. A warm friendly welcome, a beautiful spotlessly clean house, excellent breakfasts, close to town. Steve & Heather are fantastic hosts, who do their best to make your stay enjoyable, it's not like any other B&B it's like staying with family or friends.
We have stayed several times over the past year and wouldn't give anywhere else a second thought.

Myself and 2 friends stayed for 6 nights in the family room during the easter break. We cannot recommend this B&B enough. Heather & Steve ,the owners, made it the perfect B&B to stay in, they are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was a perfect size for 3 adults and decorated to a high standard, as with the rest of the house. It's perfectly located to the town centre with lots of lovely places to eat and walking distance for all amenities.
Can't wait for our next visit.

It was lovely to meet you all and we thoroughly enjoyed having you here. The dining room seemed very quiet the following day after having you here for 6 nights and we missed the banter and good humour. You managed to do some good walks during your stay as well as sample quite a few of the local eating places. We hope that it wont be too long before you decide to come back and explore a bit more of the local area as you all seemed to enjoy this beautiful area of the lake district.
Thank you for the review it is much appreciated.

Best wishes from Heather and Steve, the cats miss you too.

My husband and I, together with two friends, were fortunate to find this little gem for a one night stay in Keswick. This is a charming Victorian house, beautifully decorated and furnished, and the hosts Steven and Heather were very warm and welcoming.
The house is in an ideal position to walk into Keswick with all its attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
