We had a wonderful stay at the Lakeside House in Keswick. We stayed in room 16 which had amazing views of Cat Bells and the surrounding countryside. The room was very spacious and had a lovely ensuing bath and shower room. The breakfast was lovely and made to order. We will definitely be returning.

Thank you for your review of your stay with us at LakeSide House. There is no greater accolade than having a returning guest and we are so pleased to hear that you will be returning to us. Room 16 is a fantastic room being on the third floor does certainly have its advantages when you wake up to those views of the fells each morning. At this time of the year as the trees start to lose their leaves you can see right across to Derwentwater which is fabulous. Thank you again for your feedback it is greatly appreciated.

Myself and my wife Jan, stayed here for 3 nights on 19/9. The B and B is absolutely fab.
We had room 5 which is the smallest and a standard room. Two flights of stairs took us to the room. Flat screen tv, 2 large windows, small bathroom with shower, and small built in wardrobe are in the room. Bedding was very comfortable and the bathroom is spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was wonderful. The usual cereals etc, then a full menu of cooked breakfast to your choice. The food was 5 star. All staff we chatted to during our stay were friendly and courteous.
On arrival Christine showed us to our room then gave us a pass to put our car in the car park for the duration of our stay. The car park is 2 minutes walking distance away.
This was our first time in Keswick and will definitely go again. The B and B is located approx. 5 minute walk to the main street shopping centre and also 5 minutes from the lake.
We would also recommend Morrels, Woodstone Pizza and Grill, and the George to eat out at.
Overall, Keswick is a lovely place to visit and we would recommend that you would stay at the Lakeside House as Christine and her staff have a 5 star place that is fantastic in all areas.

Nice enough hotel, our room was a little on the small side with a rather small tv mounted on the wall.
Very clean and nice comfortable bed, good bathroom with powerful hot shower but no bath. I think it's a little over priced at £220 for 2 night b and b that we paid but I suppose there's better deals. It's nice that it's away from the main street but close enough to walk to and close to the lake, hence the name I guess! No parking during the day outside the hotel but I think this changes in October, but we managed to park just along the road or you can stay for free in one of the public car parks.
Would I return? probably not but don't let that put you off this nice hotel.

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us at LakeSide House. We try and price ourselves according to our location, as you mentioned a short two minute flat walk to both Derwentwater and the Town centre, the quality of the accommodation and the breakfast and our customer service. Booking direct does indeed guarantee you the most competitive rates. With regards to the provision of a bath we do have bedrooms with baths in the en-suites and our room descriptions online do show this quite clearly. In terms of parking from October 31st you are quite right that the parking restriction directly outside is lifted until March. Once again thank you for staying with us.

Thank you for leaving a review of your stay with us at LakeSide House. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and we hope that you will stay with us next time you are in Keswick. After the 31st October you can enjoy free parking at the front of LakeSide House which is always a welcome time, but the car park permits are a must have for us, to make parking stress free for our guests. We have stayed here a number of times now. You know when you really like somewhere because everything is just as it should be but you get that nervous feeling that it might have changed and you'll be disappointed? No chance of that here! Everything is of a consistently high standard - all of the rooms are luxurious and have great views whether facing the lake or the town and hills behind.

Breakfast is fabulous and really fills you up for the whole day.

Only time to fit in one more stay this year but hoping for many more in 2014!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are individually designed and decorated and have great views.

This is the most beautiful room in a B&B we’ve stayed at (room 2). Beautiful architecture, rooms, and decoration. Super friendly and welcoming staff, particularly Lindsey who checked us in - so bubbly and attentive, also Christine who helped us with check out and served us breakfast.

B&B location was excellent. Just across the street from the park and a mini golf course with convenient access to walk around the lake and just a couple of blocks from the town center. Parking was just a block away.

Room was gorgeous – spacious and bright, and with windows all around overlooking the surrounding parks. Plenty of seats around the windows to sit, relax, and enjoy the views. Bathroom was super cute, bright, and with the best shower ever. Nice local toiletries were provided.

Breakfast area was very nice and modern. Selection of cereals, some fruits, yogurt and juices and warm options made to order. We tried the eggs benedict and the Cumbrian breakfast, both fresh and tasty. Breakfast time is limited – 8:15 am to 9:15 am.

Wifi was available in the lobby and the office area with good internet connection (no connection in the room).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this B&B and we highly recommend it.
