We live locally, and this restaurant is far the best in town. The food and flavours are gorgeous, the setting is lovely and the atmosphere is great. Especially the fantastic staff. Keep up the good work 5 stars all the way.

We were a little apprehensive about dining here after some of the less favourable TA reviews. But we took the risk and phoned to book a table the day before.
On arrival we were promptly greeted by a polite waiter and shown to our table by the window.
It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost full. However our order was soon taken and our food arrived at a good pace.
We started with poppadoms and pickles. The poppadoms were crisp and not greasy, and accompanying pickles were tasty too.
When the curries arrived they were both piping hot with plenty of very tender chicken. My Madras, accompanied with mushroom pilau, had a good kick and was delicious. My parter really enjoyed his Dupiaza and the garlic naan was good too.
The service was good but beware that a 10% service charge is automatically added to your bill. All our food, with two pints of Cobra and some (free) water, cane to about £44 including tip.
Overall great value for a very good curry!

We called here and managed to get a table. It is a very busy restaurant as Keswick ia a busy holiday town. The quality of the food was very good, and tasted lovely. Some unusual combinations of flavours too. We are keen to return. The staff were ok, a bit sullen, but service was fine and food service was really quite quick.
So pleased to have found this place.

despite sitting in front of the bar we appeared to be invisible. Other people were shown to tables and given menus straight away. 10 minutes after giving our drinks order we were still waiting for menus but finally got them when we asked the second time. The people on the next table came 20 minutes after us but their order was taken first and again we had to ask several times before someone came to take our order. Ten minutes after that my husband’s starter arrived and 25 minutes after that so did mine. We only had to wait another 15 minutes after the plates were cleared for the mains but part of mine was missing and we had to ask for that.
The restaurant was so noisy my husband had to turn his hearing aids off so we couldn’t have a conversation while we waited - mind you the only topic would have been why we were invisible.
When it came the food was tasty, the meat was tender and it wasn’t greasy. Although obviously under pressure the cook had not skimped on quality but I doubt we’ll revisit.

Food was pretty average however it wasn’t worth the price. The poppadoms and pickles were nice. The curries left a lot to be desired and weren’t overly flavourful. Peshwari naan was nice and so was the pilau rice. Service charge is added to every bill which I think should not be compulsory especially as service was slow and not overly friendly.
