This was an excellent start to our vacation.

The rooms were very clean, cosy, well equipped and quiet. The views from the back windows are scenic.

The B&B was close to the centre of town. We could easily walk into Keswick for our meals and shopping.

Although located close to the highway access, it is very quiet - highway and road noise is not a concern.

Peter and Sharon were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing. They encouraged us to see certain sites and advised us of the best scenic routes to get there. Their dining suggestions were excellent. Our hosts even provided us with information about other locations we were going to visit on our travels.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of choices tasty choices. It was served nice and hot and was ready at our requested time.

They have done a great deal of work to the B&B and are rightfully proud of their home.

For us the Burnside B&B was the best entry to our Lake District holiday we could possibly find. It started with a very warm welcome by Sharon and Peter, who are just fabulous hosts. They provided exellent beginning of each day and good advice on hiking adventure as well as dining opportunities. We enjoyed to stay in our neatly furnished and absolutely clean room and only just missed the completion of the newly styled dining room, which will be gorgeous.

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay in mid August.

Sharon and Peter were both very helpful and friendly - without invading your privacy.

The room was spotless and the furnishings brand new. The bed was great.

The choice and quality of breakfast was the best that we have had on this trip (9 days around the lakes) - possibly the best we have had in a British B+B. We also got some cake recipes from Sharon :-)

Great value for money - We highly recommend it!

ps shame about the weather though...

Thankyou so much for a warm welcoming stay, beautiful room, great breakfast. Keswick is a really nice little town. Plenty of things to do and places to eat. Would definately return and recommend to others.

We had a fantastic break with Sharon and Peter. Our room was comfortable, extremely clean and cosy and the amenities in the room were superb.
Breakfast was a real treat, a fantastic choice of good quality tasty food, always served with a smile and helpful advise on things to do and places to go if wanted.
The area is ideally located and if you ask, Sharon will provide you with the benefit of her almost encyclopaedia array of local knowledge.
We opted for a packed lunch to come home with and was pleasantly impressed with the content.
This is one stay which more than fulfilled all of its claims on the website.
Overall our trip to Keswick was made all that much more enjoyable by staying at Burnside, I would unreservedly recommend it to anyone.
