There was plenty of choice on the menu. Our party of 4 all chose different meals and everyone was highly satisfied with the quality of the food. Service was good and prices reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

This place was a delightful surprise. The food was carefully prepared and very tasty. Service was attentive and extremely friendly. Ambiance is cozy and unpretentious. Recommend you give it a try.

We ended up going back to this restaurant a second time after eating two other places. The somewhat short menu provided excellent choices for us. The mussels were outstanding!

Ate here on the evening whilst staying in Keswick overnight. Food was amazing very tasty and good sized portions. Good efficient service. The only negative was the restaurant is a bit small and you felt a bit cramped together with not a lot of room between each table. Not an intimate dining experience in fact at one point felt the gentleman on the table next to us was going to join us on our table he got that close!

This is a great restaurant that is just missing a bit of abience pizzazz. As other reviewers have reported, the food is truly fabulous. I had the Cumberland Sausage, that was perhaps the best sausage I've ever had. It was served over mashed potatoes with a great gravy sauce and garnished by decoratively trimmed and perfectly cooked carrots. Really a five star meal for 10 pounds! My wife had the cod special that was equally as good.

So why so few diners? The restaurant is small, with about 12 tables. Only five were filled tonight. I saw several passers-by look in and consider joining, but moving on. They missed a great meal! My personal opinion is that the "Different Taste" owners had adopted a style that is different for the Keswick crowd. This is a place of hikers and outdoors-people and pubs and old English fare. This restaurant has chosen a contemporary zen type look that is out of place for most. Chairs are chrome. Instead of candles on the tables, they use a very modern LED downlight. The lights across the front of the restaurant are a bit glaring. In short, the restaurant just needs an ambience touch up to soften the feel and add some romance.

When they get the right ambiance formula, that, coupled with their already fabulous fare, will make this a must-go-to restaurant in Keswick. In the meantime--please go there now. You'll never forget what a great meal they serve and for a great price!
