We were staying at the Hotel and did our usual scouting for a decent restaraunt to eat in the evening. We had a drink in the Royal Oak which looked liked they did some quality food and asked behind the bar where was a good place to eat. One chap said the Highfield!! Well we took his advice and booked accordingly. The canapes to start was a nice touch and one of only 2 we had experienced through out our trip. The food was delicious and very well priced. Could not fault the food and the staff. Would highly recommend anyone to eat there and enjoy a first class meal and lovely surroundings. It was also very busy there which is always a good sign and they handled the timing of the courses really well. Fine Dinning at it's best. Thanks again Andy & Joanie
