What a beautiful place to be. Via fretta experience was challanging. Guide Johny was very helpful, made things easyand taught us basics about rock climbing and wasconstantly helping group members. Beautiful view at the top. We went at 6th june 2013.

A great visit for a wet day, this is an interesting venue, giving an insight into the harsh life of the people of Borrowdale who worked the mine for so many years.

A fascinating insight into the history and development of slate mining and production in Cumbria. Roland, the guide was very knowledgeable, humorous and informative. The underground tour lasted about one and a half hours and is well worth going on, provided you don't mind getting a little wet and muddy. The road up is very winding and narrow but the views from Honister are fantastic.

Terrific interesting tour of the last working slate mine, very informative and enthusiastic guide showing one mans vision, who, unfortunately was killed in a helicopter crash before he could complete all his dreams, recommended
