“Passable”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

Enjoyed our dinner, was good enough Mexican food, however was pretty balk standard. Don't expect the most authentic food going.

Was disappointed by two consecutive loud, inebriated crowds of 10 on the long upstairs table. Ruined what atmosphere there was, and was not suitable banter for the children that were there. Hey ho thats life I suppose, still would choose otherwise.

“Can't understand the negatives!!”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Wehave used this Bistro 4 times now during our frequent visits to Keswick and each time the food, service and staff have been excellent and welcoming.

The only negative I can think of is there is to much food, so negative on the waistline.

As per my last review, don't pass this by if you like 'Authentic' Mexican food (some reviews may not understand authentic) especially the King Prawns.

“What a find!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Stumbled across this little treasure almost by accident, it's in a back street near the Car Museum. Only seems to be open evenings, and then only 'til 9, not sure if that changes in the summer but well worth a visit. Had a great meal, good, friendly service, we will return on our next visit to Keswick. Spoke to a fellow diner who said they always go when in Keswick and "the prawns are to die for". I'm a vegetarian and found plenty to pick from on the menu too.

“Crap service”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

This isn't good mexican food, complete lack of flavours and the service (except for one lady who was a little more sensitive to her customers needs in the restaurant) was poor. Just generally not professional in terms of actions and presentation, one of the waitresses looked terrified of serving people! Small and cramped upstairs and it was freezing. Long wait for food.

“needs more atmosphere & plenty of time !!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Went Easter weekend , and had pre booked, we arrived at 8 and the place was busy and seemed fully booked. The food was lovely , but both the starters and the main course were late arriving. The main was particularly a long time and so we queried if there was a problem , all the tables upstairs seemed to be waiting for food , The answer was to our query was that the food was being freshly cooked and therefore took a little longer !!! I was rather hoping that freshly cooked food was a given not a bonus !
The place isn't very atmospheric , but clean and tidy . Prices aren't too bad either , but we wont go back .
