“A very pleasant evening.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Being a regular in a couple of other pubs in the same chain as The Wheatsheaf ( The Masons & The Spread Eagle at Sawley ) we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. Service good, choice good, food good, ambience good! What more do you need to make up a pleasant evenings dining experience. We will certainly revisit.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2014

Spot on food and beautiful interior with good atmos and really spot on staff. Also recommend the pub's Lumley Fee upmarket bunkhouse .. It's at the top of the hill but a lovely place with stunning views.

The Wheatsheaf at Brigsteer is a hidden gem along narrow lanes from Levens to a beautiful hillside village - a warm welcome and excellent food.

“Great place for a pint after a hot walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

After a walk along Scout Scar, it was a 200m drop down to the Wheatsheaf for a well deserved lunch. The sandwich selection was good and all were very tasty. The beer we had was local and quenched the thirst on a very hot day. The only problem was the 200m climb
back up the hill to get back to the car, but that's best to get rid of the calories!r
