We were greeted and offered drinks while we waited for our table to be ready which was fine but the good device ended there. It then took 20 minutes and us having to ask if we could order food, we had clearly been forgotten. We felt slightly uncomfortable too as our table was the only table for two stuck in a corner by the toilet amongst two large parties. Our starters arrived quickly and were tasty( pâté and Aubergine) our mains arrived soon (steak and spaghetti with scampi)after but no offer of Parmesan or black pepper so had to ask. Nobody came to ask if our food was ok. Neither were fantastic, steak very fatty and pasta sauce bland. We decided to skip pudding as we hadn't be impressed so far and asked for the bill. We waited 10minutes and then went to pay at the bar and it was obvious we had been forgotten again. Really basic things that were forgotten by staff really let this restaurant down. We wouldn't go back.

Good Italian food and generous portions. Bread and olives to start is a wonderful way to begin. They offer a cheaper early evening menu, then swanky it up (with cloth napkins and such) for the later crowd.

Infusion has a downstairs and an upstairs and the white wash on the rough stone walls transports you from Cumbria to Rome. Lots of space between tables and the music is always on low, romantic, and doesn't impinge on conversation.

The only reservation I have about the food is the amount of chilli the Chef uses to flavour his dishes. If you don't want it on you plate, tell them!

We stumbled on the restaurant in early evening. Our young family were well catered for and received great service. The food was satisfactory.

I have eaten in a lot of Itallians over the years and often go into them with low expectations, especially at lunch time - so many have poorly assembled menus that taste bland and you often leave dissapointed.

Not here! We were seated within a few seconds despite the restaurant being very busy. We ordered off the lunch time menu which was very varied and great value. Our order was taken withing 5 minutes and the food arrived about 10 minutes after that.

We ordered the Ham and Mushroom Pizza and Pasta with mussels in garluc and chilli. The pizza was very well cooked, the ham espcially was delicious. The pasta was a little under for my taste but that's my preference the sauce was well balanced with just a hint of warmth from the chilli which complimented the perfectly cooked mussles very well.

The service was fast and polite we weren't crowded or rushed and for two meals with drinks the total bill was under £12! Bargain.

Will definately eat here the next time I'm in Kendal.

We had a night out recently whilst staying in Kendal and based on the reviews of your members decided to try this restaurant. Staff very helpful and welcoming and the food was just as good as the recommendations. Some of the options were slightly unusual but very good.
